I don’t pretend to know how important Harris is to most of the constituencies she’s supposed to appeal to, I sometimes think maybe it’s overstated, but I do know the optics of her being pushed aside would rankle a lot of the women I do know. It would be very hard to get to a ticket that didn’t have her at the top without creating real fissures, even if she wouldn’t be everyone’s first choice.

she is actually very smart, very principled, and obviously very independent and able to take a lot of heat for what she believes in. and she can probably whip your ass in a triathlon.

My use of the word “crazy” was perhaps just a follow-on use of that word to express her voting record of being unpredictable without clear rhyme or reason.
Principled but unpredictable may be a byproduct of her trying to thread the needle for re-election, but in no way would she make a good VP pick with Harris.

If this is reflected in other polls or comes from a reasonably reliable polling source, and Biden has seen a roughly 30% drop in support among black women, Harris is a lock.

Polis has repeatedly said he will not run for president. I think he wants to protect his family. I could not imagine what nut jobs would come up with.
Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it (or don’t see it). He goes out of his way to say over and over again that he has no idea if it’s true.
It doesn’t even make sense. He picked her as VP, why wouldn’t he endorse her for POTUS? If it plays out that way, I don’t think it would even matter. He’s confused. Everyone is just going to be happy he backs out.
