3.1, but I drank a lot.
About the same GPA. I majored in “university pub”. We had a popular pub on campus with an 18 yr old drinking age in Ontario. Can’t even remember the name now, but the women were attractive and the beer was good…
Low 3.x in undergrad, about 3.6-3.7 for MBA, and 3.9+ for Ph.D (missed an ‘A’ only in formal language theory and computational complexity theory). At the Ph.D. level grades mattered much less, assuming you were above the lower 3.5 threshold. If your committee (and your advisor in particular) didn’t like your work you were in deep trouble regardless of grades.

Chemical engineering or comunications? There’s a difference.
3.55 or so, I tried to work just enough to graduate with honors…which brings up another topic that I have been thinking about starting a thread on. Excellence, how to re-educate so that excellence is the goal instead of the “above average” goal I have followed in school, sports, etc throughout life. In the twilight of my years, I’m starting to wonder what my athletic potential WAS. ![]()
Undergrad, about 3.2 (don’t remember jr-sr years much after all the boozing).
Grad school, 4.0 baby!! ![]()
my first 2 years weren’t so great, 3.2, but i finished with 3.87
.

BS Applied Economics, some real crusty old fks for professors too, so I guess I don’t feel too bad!
enough to pass haha.
I’m surprised no one here has mentioned the “square club”. For those who’s GPA squared is lower than their GPA. (ie. below 1)
If your degree was in Math or Physics or Computer Science or something like that, 3.1 isn’t bad. If it’s in Basket Weaving, then you were doing some heavy drinking ![]()
For me: Assoc. Applied Science: 3.9: BSBA: 3.8; MBA: 3.4 (I finally got tired of going to school).
For those with good GPAs it’s easy to brag. We should encourage those with low GPAs to post and make the one with the lowest GPA the winner.
Let’s hear it for the under-achievers (who are also probably some of the smartest people).
3.4 BS Computer Engineering at a Big 10 university (mandatory drinking requirement fulfilled)
3.9 MBA at a Pac 10 university.
good times.
Still occaisionally have the dream that I have overslept for a final, get there late, remember that I stopped attending class because I thought I knew the material and would just read the textbook and do the problems, wake up in a cold sweat.
3.12 Undergrad here; and I had a blast. I did hit a 4.0 for my MBA.
“Friends are semester to semester, but grades are forever”
Still in college as a senior with a GPA of 3.09. Finished my Bio major last semester. I could go out into the the real world but I’m gonna hold off because my school Univ. of Rochester is giving me a tuition free 5th year to study what I want. And it puts off a year of a bad job market. Applying to Dental school in June. But I want to go into LE.
My undergrad was 3.9 as I recall. I’ll be finishing up my master’s in May; I think my GPA is about 3.8.
2.1 at the end of junior year. This marked the end of my college athletic career. Went undrafted/unsigned during the summer. Decided to move to KC to move on with life. I was a quadruple major at this point … baseball (Teammates), alcohol, marijuana, and ladies. I went to class just enough to stay elgible for baseball. While it is embarrassing to state, I had a night class in regards to something about theater (elective). I showed up for the mid-term exam (A), final exam (A) and for the semester paper (A), and earned a C for the class once deducations wer made for absences. I’m sure the prof looked at me as a waste, but I was wondered if he questioned the situation where someone could essentially ace his class without ever showing up (except for the 2 major exams). As a teacher, that would give me pause.
Anyway …
Graduated with a 3.3. with a BA in Professional Biology. (With my head firmly removed from my arse).
So, I essentially spent 3 years earning C’s and 2.5-3 years earning A’s (also retaking any science class that I earned a C in)
Earned my masters in educational administration with a 4.0
You were obviously a Penn student with that quadruple major.
3.4+
.
3.5 in undergrad with a double major in chemistry and environmental science. 4.0 in grad school for two degrees – MSPH and Masters of Environmental and Natural Resource Management.
Wow…a UR student. stay warm in the tunnels…
3.17, but at my school, that was considered “with honors”.
