Washington DC tourist almost taken out by snipers

Typical tourist behavior, but for some reason the guys on the roof got agitated.

For some reason? The SS allowed a siner to shoot at Donald Trump during a rally, killing civilians and injuring (kind of) Trump. They’ve got a whole litany of organizational problems, and the President is making more and more enemies daily.

I wonder what possible reason the SS protecting the President now might have to be a little jumpy.

One of my colleagues said last week, somebody is going to shoot him. He’s screwing with a lot of people’s livelihoods or worse. I wouldn’t be surprised if more politicians have been shot because of personal vendettas for perceived wrongs than by crockpots or for political reasons.

That was clearly a well-planned operation.

I wouldn’t doubt it. I’m pretty sure that some Palestinians might like to take him out after his recent comments. But have also thought that someone losing their livelihood might decide to put an end to it. With tens of millions of enemies, and growing, all it takes is for one to say ā€œfuck it, I’m willing to dieā€.

Just like there are copycat school shooters- I’m kind of surprised there have not been any copycat Luigi’s yet.

Those spikes on the top of the fence looked like they were easily bent over by the dude.

Does this guy have a death wish?

True, but they also seemed to slow him down quite a bit. Enough time for the guy near him on the ground to make clear that if he ended up on the other side of the fence he was either going to have new holes.

he shimmied up that high? that is kind of impressive

of course the whole op is impressively stupid – including wearing black

I was going to say something about that. That was pretty impressive and then really not impressive once he got to the top.

I’m a little disappointed. I thought he was going to be hanging upside down when he got his scrotum skewered by the spiky things on top of the fence.

I’ve seen a tragic case of that with a squirrel and had a similar image in mind for this guy or I thought he was going to sit on one of those spikes and be impaled.

I’m confused. I was assured that these buildings belong to the People, and that we have free and unrestricted access. I’m trying to remember who it was that told me that…

Did the videographer make a buck?

I am sure the NY Post threw a few dollars his way.

Pro tip. If you are going to video someone who has a high probability of being snipped, the smaller the angle between the sniper and the target in your field of view, the greater the chance you will take a stray bullet.

I’d be curious as to who radioed the fence guy first. I would guess the snipers on the roof quickly assessed the threat as remote while suspended on fence. Good thing he did not land on the grass on the WH side.
