In another video, they showed they are working on another integrated extension + cup/pad that seems to be wider and shorter at the cup. No mention of a mono bar. I think the challenge with mono bars is that they are too restrictive and can’t really be adjusted after the fact. If tririg could create a monobar that is somewhat adjustable, I think it could work. But I would fear it might be too clunky, complex, and heavy.
re: Salazar’s comment on saddle tilt.
Modern fit has progressed a ton in 3 years. I also use to think a downward saddle tilt was a red flag…
But if a fitter suggests a
- zero saddle tilt
- too quickly suggests a saddle model without blind testing of 4+ models
- has the rider sitting rearward on the saddle
- has a go-to aerobar type for all fit-ees
- sets riders up with effective sta’s less that 82deg
- suggests a short crank length without testing quad vs glute muscle group recruitment (rider perception is good for this) and trying other ways to open the hip angle…
those may be the red flags in terms of the fit not setting the rider up for comfort & success.
In our coming around to re-imagining TT bike fit, we did 9 years of research with pro riders and and our own extensive riding and landed on a grippy saddle with progressively deeper foam and designed the saddle to be tilted.
None of these riders are scooting around; they’re locked in place and their hips are aligned with their lower back (not too much posterior or anterior hip rotation). For what it’s worth, all of our pro athletes’ saddle angles are between -4 and -10 degrees.

I can confirm these are thé most adjustable bars on the market. If you want comfort, full support and max adjustability in wrist angle and position this the one bar system you want to get.
