correct - I did want to show that there were commercial solutions, and if there’s one, there are probably a dozen more (an additional one pointed out by @marcag). Hope @E_DUB article elaborating on Kanute’s set-up helps further
If you’re in need of a short term solution and have a lot of stack, then an A3 Adaptor, A2 Bridge and A2-A3 adaptor would allow fitment of the A2 BTA. That would be a costly way to do it and not approved for multiple bottles.
There is a chance the production version of the A3 BTA Bridge will be available by Nice, the prototype has passed fatigue testing. Keeping in touch with Ventum would probably be the best way to know.
the bike doesnt come stock with ASC pro but with asc and standard cups. I will have new designs on offer that will go under the cup and then have a riser design with a lot of adjustment. I get the first samples next week to start testing. My supplier production time is very fast in alloy. This will probably be the cheapest solution out there. We are looking at a way to make it even cheaper which we should have details by Mid May and full production by June/ July if we go that route. ie, under 100 USD bta riser with angle and height adjustment…
This is also outdated… I saw Kanute’s bike yesterday. He has FastTT aerobars for IMTX. They are longer reach than the PD extensions pictured here, I’m pretty confident. I don’t remember 100%, but I think he does still have this PD reach extender.
As for the geometry discussion, note that this is an XL frame. This provides the longer reach I was after and I have zero issues with stand over height at 6’1”. as slowman wrote, ignore T-shirt sizes.
The Wattshop cranks pictured can be adjusted from 160-175mm. I think this crankset needs to be more widely adopted because it allows the rider to select crank length over a 15mm range and rather than theorizing what is best and purchasing a crank based on that theory, the rider can choose the length that best engages their glutes while not inhibiting getting over the top of the pedal stroke.
I’ve increased the pad stack height from original article:
The bike was not fit when the photoshoot was taken, but the saddle is lower and with the rider on the bike, the effective seat tube angle, measured from where the pubis bone is in contact with the saddle to the bottom bracket, is 84.5°. The fit would look pretty similar to how you see Rudy, Sam or Trevor set up.
Didn’t you have to name custom extenders for Rudy on the Hanzo ? The specs only show 4mm extra reach in the XL. Is this right ? Or is it how/where the other extensions mount from ?
