I’m in the 4th week of my IMAZ build and I’m feeling pretty crappy about having to miss some workouts. Boarding up the beach house (Jersey Shore) and doing about 5000 tasks means I missed my long run today and my swim…I feel fat!
I know my family expects that I take care of keeping them safe–and of course I am but I have this real guilty feeling.

Anyone else feeling a bit outa sorts?
What’s your height and weight? I will tell you if you’re fat.
right on target! I hear what you are saying about missing training. It’s the all encompassing, obsessive personality construct of a winner. We will get through the storm and that first workout back will be fresh. We will appreciate it even more after being cooped up for a day or two.
a few missed days will not kille you. There is a reason plans are 12-20 weeks long because life happens. just be safe and get what needs to be done. Next week you will be rested and ready to go.
Got in as much cycling as possible over the last two days. Heading to my aunts house (I’m in the financial district in NYC) in upstate new york. Shes got a treadmill and a generator that powers the entire house. I’m set!
Don’t you have “people” to do those tasks for you?
I got in 48 nice miles after work yesterday. Went to get bagels this morning (around 7:15): it’s usually a 15 mile round trip ride, but I decided to take the scenic route through Rumson/Middletown (past Bon Jovi’s house) and got in a really enjoyable 23-24 miles before breakfast. Might get a run in before the rain really hits, then it’s settling in for the next 24 hours or so.
Of course, I’m not training for IM, so if I miss anything it really doesn’t matter.

I just wish I had a beach house that I would have to board up. And, you’re not fat, I’m 6’2" and 190

Toughman is in 2 weeks. These are important days.
You’re training for an event called “Toughman,” and you’re worried about some bad weather? What’s that acronym again?
He’s actually doing ToughKids - it’s more his speed.
Today was a PERFECT day to get out and train. I have no clue what y’all are complaining about.
It was dead calm all am. Muggy as hell, but whatever - it’s August, what did you expect?
Got rained on a bit during my T-run, it felt fantastic.
I crushed a new pb on my hilly bike loop, thanks to excellent go-fast conditions.
Irene can suck it.
I just did a 4 hour ride on the TT bike with no hip pain (the pain that ended my tri-career). I have a case of Pumpkin Ale and am thinking of renting a midget. I’m prepared.
