Congratulations Jodi on your Ironman finish of 12:37 (unofficial)! Awesome bike ride, each split was faster than the previous one.
Way to go Jodi - nice job!!!
Great job Jodi.
Congratulations!!
A BIG attagirl to Jodi! Who’s her coach?
Like Reggie Jackson said, “It ain’t bragging if you can do it!”.
You had a great race, Jodi. Can’t wait to hear about it in your race report. I’m sure there will be lots of pics of you smiling.
YES - and her run was fantastic considering she didn’t run for a while before the race because of her injury! GO JODI!! We are all proud of you!! and never mind for her first ironman - can’t wait to hear her story!
Great job Jodi! Congratulations!!
Thanks guys! I was in a world of hurt for twelve and a half hours but it was still the best damn half day of my life. I don’t think I stopped smiling for the whole 140.6 miles. Well, except to pose for picks looking like a badass

Drink a beer but don’t pass out on your coach’s couch in their trailer like I did at IMFL last year.

Jodi
NICE!!!
You did awesome girl!! How in the world did you pull off that run after not being able to run? I can’t wait to hear your story. I had fun watching you during the day.
Congratulations!
The run? The joints all started to hurt at mile 2 and the knee locked up at 8. The body does wonderful things. When one thing starts to hurt, your body adjusts and eventually it’s something else that hurts. I slogged through it stopping to walk through the aid stations until it absolutely hurt so bad to stop and start that I just decided at mile 19 to suck it up and run the last 7 without stopping. The IM run is such a mental game. You won’t walk if you don’t let yourself walk. You’ll see!
Oh yeah, and Tylenol. And the Tums from the wonderful guy at mile 4, without which I would never have made it. My gut shut down during the swim and I was only able to choke down about 60 ounces of fluid (total) and 170 cals per hour on the bike. The guy with the Tums is my new hero!

You are a warrior!! I can’t wait to read your story in your blog. And I am taking notes for IMAZ!!!
You didn’t have an easy swim either - I saw the chop at the beginning and my heart sunk for you. I bet it was like a washing machine.
But how exciting - did you cry when they put the medal over your head? I still do that in an HIM!!
