The Dr Tigerchik thread

awesome about his first marathon!!!

how are you today?

Thank you.

I am good today. Lots of chores completed and a very easy call to enroll in a Botox Insurance Program under my wife’s benefit package. I lost my insurance coverage when I retired and the auto insurance ran out this week. It was a surprisingly easy process for a change.

How are you feeling this week?

I know things are still difficult… but, the difference between this update and your updates from a few months ago is like night and day.

I still check on you guys… even though I’ve been away to random corners of the earth for most of the last two months.

@GFD botox week for you!

Close. Epidural week. Botox is on the 30th if I can get the new pharmacy to actually send the Botox to the doctor’s office. They are claiming that the address doesn’t match their records and there is nothing they can do.

How are you feeling?

Such a lazy cop-out excuse. “dear pharmacy, sure there is… pick up a phone and call the doctors office. Update your records. Figure. It. Out. “

Of all the difficult insurance issues I have gone through none have been was perplexing as this one. I told them I was reading the address off of the office and the hospital’s official sight. They would not even entertain the idea that perhaps they had the incorrect address in their system. I have a request in with the doctor’s office to confirm their address with the company.

We also found out last night that my daughter’s health coverage runs out on her 25th birthday in January under my wife’s policy. My policy had her covered until 26. She won’t start her job and have her own coverage until September. That is a serious bummer as we had not planned for that monthly expense.

exhausted - I’ve not slept well in over a week. high pain sat & sun

epidural! sorry for the mistake. let us know how it goes, ok? sorry about the address headache re: botox :frowning: all this is is hard enough without stuff like that

You need a break. Not sleeping makes everything worse. Hopefully tonight things change for the better. Hang in there.

how’d the epidural go?

slept well Tu into Wed; slept horribly last night :frowning:

The epidural went well. Filled all the spots it needed to get into. I was pretty much useless yesterday. I could not sleep and ached all over. I slept well last night and feel great this morning. My elbows are not hurting at all.

I am glad you got one good night of sleep. My neurologist told me last week that there are new studies showing that you can make up for lack of sleep over a day or two. Research had previously disputed this.

glad you aren’t having elbow pain and that you feel good this AM.

Sorry your having trouble sleeping TC. That’s just not fair. Here’s to hoping you get a break…and some decent rest in the next few days.

I’m getting sent to another corner of the earth, again. I’ll be keeping tabs from about 8 timezones away.

My wife had a series or cortizone shots from L1 to L5 on Tuesday …. working to manage her pain also. The first couple days after are always grumpy. But, She’s doing good today.

Good luck to your wife Tom. I am glad she is doing well after the shots.

how’s your wife today, @Tom_hampton ? How are you, @GFD ?

She said she’s doing good. I’m in Israel this week. So…

She’s had quite a fee of these treatments going back to 2021. They usually work for about 4-6 months before she needs another. Trying to hold off on surgery for as long as possible.

How are you today? Any better?

The epidural is takin git’s time this round. Overall I am fine. Just sore around the neck and upper back. My elbows are still pretty good.

I hope your week is going well.

Doing well with most of my pain gone or just at the ache level. Sleep has been pretty poor the last few nights. My kids are home and this is going to be a very busy but good week.

I hope your ok turns to good very soon.
