Heal up soon Doc! I always appreciate your stories when you travel back east.
Hi Dr., as a fellow PhD I enjoyed reading your posts way back when as you successfully navigated grad school and earned your doctorate, plus you’ve always been an inspiration to keep up with my swimming. All the best to you.
Rest up and get back here soon TC!
The LR does not deserve the Good Doc! We should all bring her ice cream (because ice cream helps everyone feel better)…
Looks like I’ll have to be in Lewiston in the next week or so; you need anything, I don’t mind making time (would be well worth it).
Heal up quick, Doc!

What did the science book say to the math book?
Wow, you’ve got problems.
Sending Boulder hippy healing vibes to you DTC!
I need to buy a pie tomorrow. I wonder if I can find a blueberry one!
Happy Pi Day @Dr_Tigerchik !
For today only, I won’t cuss and fuss when I need to do maths for work.
You beat me to it. Happy Pi Day.
If you have Pie don’t let Pi Rats eat it.
Happy Pi Day Dr TC!
What do you call it when someone gets a tattoo of Pi?

.
An irrational decision.
Hugs to Dr TC! She’s been checking on me regularly after my ankle surgery. So kind. I know her carpal tunnel issues have contributed to limited posting. Glad we can all support her!
Happy Pi day!
Heal up
I’m surprised there’s no means of using voice recognition
Get better soon
Heal up fast, Doc!
As with Softrun I too had recently wondered where she had got to.
Very sorry to learn of her / your health issues. You are one of the rare individuals who chooses not to get involved in the controversial threads and/or heated debates and because of that my perception is that you’re universally liked and respected.
I don’t know a great deal about your health issues so I will just say I wish you better days ahead.
You’re fucking evil!
The Good Doctor might love this, though…

well, 2 pages later, I’ve got something that I’m confident is equivalent to that, but is not simplified that far. (at least it starts with 7R^2/2 LOL)
I think I’ve complicated things with the areas of my sub-triangles being a bit too trig-y.
I’m confident that my approach of which areas I’m calculating is correct; that was a bit of a challenge to wrap my head around at first.
I’m now emotionally invested enough that I am gonna need to crack the simplification.
excellent brainteaser!
All hail Dr TC!
This is my boy dutifully following the rules of Twister in the school playground this week.
(Dad made up the calls obviously)
“Left foot on yellow
Right foot on green
Right knee on yellow
Face on blue”…splat!
Got it.
Indeed got led astray by doing too much trig and not enough geometry at the outset.
I knew I was in trouble when I looked up the triple angle identity and found that it included a sin^3 term.
Geometry from the get-go was 15’ and half a page. Trig from the get-go was 4 pages and a mild case of PTSD. If I’m brave I’ll tidy up the monstrous result I got the first time and share it for a good laugh.
Thanks for the challenge!
Good work!
It is a nice little problem, and hopefully gave or is giving Dr T a bit of fun.
The first effort I made at solving it was a bit brutish; I managed subsequently to work out a more elegant solution which I might post next week at some point.
