Do keep up! Those insta images are so ‘yesterday’. thank you for starting a thread.
Waugh withdrew this morning and Kivioja has accepted her place - she was top of the wait list.
Here are Thorsten’s seedings:

Here’s the PTN version of the start list

Facebook actually! Shame about Waugh, explains the below expectation Yokohama run.

Good interview with GTB here

BTS - Van der Kaay, Derron, Siffert, Sala home girl, Rayner

Which begs the question why she and her team decided on an aggressive race calendar over 3 straight weekends especially coming off an injury?

Yep, hope she does what she says she is and takes enough time to rest it.

Anyone know if Derron has been with Sutto all winter/spring?

That would be a “yes”. Looking at the sisters racing Kona together this year.

And this answers the final question.

A ST Preview has been published:

I wonder if the author reads the T100 Tour 2026 thread?

Another BTS:

On paper, Derron will be the one to beat but I wouldn’t rate her as the most consistent runner. She can be unbelievable or simply ok and it almost always boils down to the run

and who do you think will out run her ?

its a great field and I reckon Switzerland will have 3 in the top 6

I think she’s a consistently great runner. Isn’t it the swim that can get Derron? She tends to finish farther back when there are strong swim-bikers in the field, athletes like Learmonth, LCB, Waugh. They open a gap that Derron can’t run down. Not sure if this field has any of those types.

GTB has a better run? I have this visual of GTB overtaking Derron in one of the races , Dubai or Qatar?

Sophie Evans ….

GTB has run well in her two SC races this year, and extremely well in December in Qatar. Remember one of those runs was after she rode hard and broke away (so her bike is on point).
Don’t think it’s an easy pick between her and Derron.
But if Schär is close or with them on the bike, her 1:16 in Valencia 70 secs slower than Kleiser (as a benchmark) will be in with a great shout. And that was off riding within seconds of Pierre there.
Evans was 3 minutes adrift of Schär in Valencia so in there for a top 5. Halfway on the road to Pamplona I expect Simmonds to catch her - just like T100 London 2024. and NB Simmonds ran a 70.3 half PB in Aix.
Finally Spivey has been impressive twice (SC-WTCS - Samarkand #5 and Yokohama #8). However with Waugh’s DNS she’s lost a fellow top swimmer. Perhaps Lawrence, Sala and Evans will give her a front gang to work with’ll have to decide whether to gun the swim and ride alone or take it easy and join the gang, and try to hang on (at 20+m).
