Learmonth drafting penalty, she’s not happy!
Not surprised she stopped any effort as soon as Lucy went past. It is a bit of a joke really.
Does anyone know why Bogen got a 30 second penalty but Smith got a 1 minute penalty?
Wilde has put more than a minute on Geens already, they need to get Blum into T100 (might be the only one out there now who can compete with Wilde) its going to get boring.
I take this back, Geens crashed and the coverage never even picked up on it!
Whats Berry and Phole run like? Learmonth has 5 mins on Gentle, im hoping she can hold on for a poduim.
Pohle has a good run, when she does. First class this time last year (Tallinn and Zell am See) but then struggled eg Taupo (14th best). She’s was injured first part of this year (hence despite contracted all those T100 missed races) but then wins in Kraichgau (robbed by elbowgate) and Sweden.
Berry is an average runner (24th fastest in Taupo), but better than Learmonth normal, I reckon.
I identify Lee as the most likely athlete to run onto the podium.
Yep the other two were unknowns for me, I think Lee will be close, didn’t like the look of that strapping on Waughs leg, im going for LCB for the win.
I think Learmonth will hold on as long as she doesn’t explode, non of them girls are putting time into her, Gentle seems to be the only one gaining, not by massive amounts.
Liverpool Vs Everton calls! Hold on for that all Brit poduim girls
Looks assured. And 6 Brits in the top 11!
And the Tour Standings after all bar Knibb have scored 4 races is tied on 119 for Waugh and Barclay, 96 for Gentle, 96 for Derron and 90 for Knibb (NB 3 scores). Learmonth on 86 fwiw.
They sell them in pairs now to look at stride efficiency and stuff like that.
Always surprised when Stryd don’t use these things as a promotional tool, the amount of triathletes using them
Mathews and Phillips have to be getting nervous after this and London. LCB looks amazing
or they think we are Gustav and Casper ….
Great result for Learmonth that, especially after getting a penalty.
Yes that was a really great run from her, especially in the heat. The engine inside that lady must be something to behold, and she is tough as they come. I didnt see where the penalty happened, but seeing how she rides, have to imagine it was a bit of a BS one.
Also not sure about the Rico and Smith ones, were they from the very beginning where guys were still sorting out? And how do you come in seconds after someone in the penalty tent and then get held for like 30 seconds more? Bit of a cluster out there on the officiating I would say…
Watching the highlights they mentioned Shomburg having completed a “long course race” 6 days ago. Did they avoid saying Ironman WC the whole race or was that just a weird wording at the finish? Very impressive for him to recover so quickly and podium.
He has a lot of potential, one to watch in 2026 and beyond!
