See, that is an excellent distiction. I am so glad you brought that up. There is a broad misconception about conservatives. I am not religeous, and I do some things in my personal life that I wouldn’t want others to know about. Hopefully we all do. Conservatives are not all alike. There is an innaccurate stereotype out there defining conservatism. Conservatism to me means a smaller government represented by less taxes, less laws and less federal regulations. It has nothing to do at all with how we individualy pursue our happiness. An excellent book on this is “Ain’t Nobody’s Business if I do” by I believe Peter Robinson.
And remember Danforth during the Thomas hearings? He didn’t make a whole lot of friends on the other side of the aisle then.
