I guess that if you’re already aware of both shows - as I am - it’s not unexpected, but to a new listener you’d be “what the fuck is this? Get to a point … any point … and stick with it”
Yeah, that’s not how they work, sorry
LOL, that’s a hard pass for me.

There is a podcast called Fitter Radio. Two guys that do a lot of chit chat…if that’s your thing. But then they have 4 or 5 segments in there and they can be AG race reports, training things, technical stuff, nutrition, interview with an athlete…quite diversified. If the segment is boring, press the fast forward a few times and you are into the next segment Probably one of the more balanced pods out there. Not 100% my thing, but good.
Probably be easier than to record a 1hr podcast. Record segments here and there and put them together with 20min of chit chat.
I have tried, and even wrote a few suggestions to Ryan, but it still sounds more like a telephone call than an informative session. The guys (and it seems to be all guys hosting? I might have missed an episode or two) don’t introduce themselves, their energy level is very low, they take too long to get to the point, and by then, I’ve found other podcasts that don’t waste my time.
I had high hopes for a Slowtwitch podcast and will come back when there’s an indication it’s gotten better.
I was browsing slowtwitch tonight and saw this thread. I completely forgot there was a podcast. Now I feel bad I completely forgot but also means nothing was triggering me to check on it.
This was kind of my point in the original post. Seems like a strange move for Slowtwitch to start a podcast and then do it so half heartedly. So many around now that if you just put something out very occasionally lots of people will miss it even if it is any good.
Here’s a concept
Every week give the mic to two Slowtwitchers. Give them a rough outline of a topic and let them go.
Jack Kelly did it with 2 coaches chatting over training. Make it a different topic every week.

at the end of the day they have other priorities, which they might have underestimated a bit .
