I actually tied the microfiber bag in comes in around the downtube of my bike, and put it in my bike case

I’m the same. The chin strap is just a bit tight. Not sure what to do about that.

I cut it off and sewed a different one to the straps with a heavy duty stitch. Added a little extra length too.

I finally got to try mine, the strap length was the biggest surprise. I have my extended all the way and it is barely long enough. My have to add some more webbing.

Seems like an odd choice by Rudy, i dont think Ive ever had a helmet that “to short” was even a though on the chinstrap.

My son raced with the original version in Taupõ and coming from Jetstream, Wing and TT5 - he really liked it. It was comfortable and much cooler than all the others especially the TT5 hotbox. Also for a bigger helmet he felt it was much less tucked position dependent compared to the TT5. The chin strap buckle is a breeze.

The visor/shield must have come off when he was putting the helmet into the bike gear bag in transition. No one turned it in. Bummer.

Would love to know when regular humans can acquire one of these in the USA.

I have periodically asked RP this over email. First response was it would be ready for their Black Friday sale, then pushed to mid-December, now hoping to have ready for sometime in January.

Rudy Project Australia is graciously sending another gold shield for the one my son lost in transition at Taupõ. If you’re thinking about getting a Wingdream helmet in the future you might want to ask RPA if you can buy an extra one (they also have clear) since RP NA is always sold out of replacement shields for the older Wing. They are also on sale but shipping to the States brings it up to the original price.

BTW, he had no issues drinking with the original shield or the buckle.

I was gonna say have one of the few thousand members of ambassador teams get one for you, but I just logged into my account on their website, and they are sold out anyway now.

Hi Jim. Any word or updates from Rudy on when the helmet will be available in North America?

Asking in general: has anyone seen them available in Europe?

Hello
I had to get a size L on the Wing, it was too tight on the ears.
How is the sizing on the Dream, looks wider on the ears though but enough to get a s/m ? I doubt. I think I may try getting a L through my bike sponsor . What are you guys wearing L mostly ?
Thx

L and I was a L in the Wing. The Dream L fits great.

Rudy customer service told me yesterday to check back next month for helmet availability as there is no definite release date for North American hoi polloi.

Thanks for the info!

Same as Bryancd, L in the Wing and L in the WingDream. Similar to you, I found the fit to my ears to be too tight on a S/M Wing. I tried both sizes of WingDream, as I fall between sizes at 58.5 cm

Both fit on my head, but the S/M was just a touch tight when fully loosened. The L fits OK, but has a bit much side clearance above my ears. I’m fixing that with some thicker helmet pads I got on Amazon. Also keep in mind, that if you are between sizes, with the WingDream you are better off going up, so the helmet will sit lower on your head and close the gap to your shoulders as much as possible.

Lastly, FWIW, I wear a medium Specialized Evade 2, and that helmet fits my head as if it was designed just for me.

Second this comment.

I’ve got mine and the strap was super short compared to the Wing and my other helmets. I’ve taken it to my tailor to get the straps let out a bit. I understand you can get around an extra 2cms per each strap.

Regarding the other comments on the fit, it’s way looser compared to the Wing. With my Wing in large I was squeezing my ears into them and would have to shift the helmet when on to ‘unfold’ my ears. With the Wingdream my heads fits comfortably and I can wear a pair of Shokz while I ride.
