As someone who really likes the SR-1X for cycling, you need to take a look at their sunglasses. I’ll be grabbing the SR-1’s for running and making my own. They are really light sunglasses and the quality is awesome. My Oakley’s have been replaced!

$200…no thanks.

My Oakleys cost me $200. Their pricing is comparable to Smith and Oakley.

None of those brands are worth that much.

It looks like Roka has stopped making cycling gear and gone all in on these glasses.

Roka cycling gear will be out later this year. They took what they learned with goggles and made sunglasses. Roka has discounted all running and cycling gear to sell it off to prepare for their 2018 lineup.

What did they learn with the goggles that they are bringing to sunglasses?

They took there experience in injection molding and optics from making goggles and then made sunglasses.

No prescription option :frowning: damn you Roka!

Got a pair of Roka Ti’s for Christmas. I have a lot of sunglasses Ray Ban, Oakley, AO (heavy), Sun Cloud, Persol…the Rokas are my favorite by far. Nothing else is close. So light, so clear. Perfect! Just ordered another pair

I was shocked by how light the SR-1x are
.

I have not put my Oakleys on since ???

I have an SR1 and a pair of polarized Konas

VERY good Sunnie

SL-1 22g ?
SL-1x 23g

For comparison Smith Pivlock Arena ($189) and Attack ($249) are around 29g, with the Max version adding around 2g.

As for customizable, I guess they mean color choices.

Do the the Rokas come standard with just the one lens?

Yes, they come with one lens. I think you may be able to buy more later.

Yeah, it looks like they list new lenses as an option.

Smith has over time reducedthe number of lenses that come with their glasses. My first pair of sliders came with polarized, amber, yellow, and clear, but I don’t think I ever wore the yellow or clear, so I guess I’m not losing anything with their new glasses.

I have a couple pairs of roka goggles and I was disappointed with how bad their anti fog coating is. Never before have I had goggles fog up in the first use. Liked therm otherwise

They updated the anti-fog later on. Were yours the first generation?

It was a pair of R1 goggles i bought about 10 months ago. Tried them out in the pool and they fog up, no issues in open water though so I only use them there. Kind of an attention to detail thing IMO. I’m sure the sunglasses are great though, easier to make an anti fog for them

Mine lose their anti-fog ability after about four weeks of four-times-a-week pool sessions. Otherwise, they’re great goggles.

that makes me sad because i really like my roka cycling jerseys.

Why sad? New cycling gear is coming. I also love my
