Position One Active Wear

Has anyone ordered/worn the Position One Bib Shorts mentioned in a ST article recently? What were shipping times like and what was your experience wearing them? I’m esp interested in feedback from those that use ISM/split nose style saddles.

I just ordered a pair. I’m a little concerned about the sizing but we’ll see what shows up.

Long Term Review.

The sizing is true to US. I’m 183 at 6’05” and can wear a medium or large. I have skinny legs so I wear the medium.

Just saw your order come through. We will ship tomorrow. We have all the sizes and colors in stock.

Awesome, that’s what’s I wanted to hear. I’m 6’3" 170 and usually a medium in cycling bibs, should be perfect.

I’m excited to try them, thank you Dan.

Just wanted to follow up after I received them and had a chance to hop on the trainer.

These will quickly become my favorite bibs in the TT position, I had no discomfert after 2 hours and was able to hold position much more comfortably than I can in my more traditional bibs (Le Col has been my go-to indoors). I’m going to spend a little more time in them, but will likely be buying more, they’re great.

As Dan said, they run pretty true to size and the M fit me pretty well, a little tight over the shoulders and snug around the thigh but nothing that will effect usage. I like the idea of the extra pockets and will be intrigued to use these outdoors to really test it out. They are defintely not as form fitting as some of my other bibs but the overall fit is good.

Thank you for putting in the time to put together a bib that works well in the TT position.

Thank you for your comments. As you wear them over time please DM me if you have any suggestions for improvement.

Hi Dan, I sent a question regarding the sizing through the PO query widget but have not received a response yet - sizes seem as the fabric has been tailored/measured and not indicative of the body measurement, what am I missing? Your comment in the thread helps clear it up a bit.

I think you will find out sizing to be true US sizing.

I know a lot of companies use smallish sizing based in thier manufacturers location but we have designed all our own patterns to meet US standards.

We do change the pad size based on the garment size. Please feel free the PM me if I can help with a specific question.

Since this thread was started earlier I thoughI would just continue to answer any questions here.

Thank You Slowtwitch for the most recent review.

I picked up a pair of the Position One bibs about a month ago and have been using them primarily for indoor riding on the TT bike. So far, I have been quite pleased with the experience and comfort with the bibs. The chamois is unique as it does mimic the shape of a split nose saddle. I ride an ISM Attack saddle and have had a reduction of hotspots and saddle sores post long and sweaty indoor rides.

Sizing wise, I am 5’9", 170ish with large quads and I am wearing M bibs. They feel true to size compared to other bibs I own. The pockets on the legs are a nice feature too! I received a few samples of the Chamois Cream and I have been happy with that too. These have quickly become my go to bibs for key sessions in aero with intensity or duration.

Looking forward to riding outside with these some as spring slowly comes into sight!

Thanks for the post.

We are really proud of the products and happy we have solved saddle sore issues for a lot of athletes.

Between our pads and liberal use of the cream (for 7-10 days) athletes should be pain free quickly.

Hello Dan,

I am just learning of this bib and your new line of clothing. Congrats on it and wish you all the best. If you ever have any questions on apparel design, production, sourcing, etc, please let me know. I have a little bit of experience doing this.

Thank You Emilio. Love your products!!!

Hi Dan,

Was looking on the site and interested in your compression and running socks, but couldn’t find sizing for socks anywhere? Usually wear a men’s 8.5 shoe.

Thanks! Looking forward to trying out some products

You will be a small in both styles.

Thanks, can’t wait to try them out!

Just ordered a pair of the tri shorts. Can’t wait to try them out

Thank you - just saw the label print. They will ship in the morning.

Hey Dan. I ordered a pair of bibs for my wife and she has really liked them. I have a question about the tri suit. I see a lot of trip strips on kits now and have raced in Huub Aneomi. Does your tri kit have similar technology?

Yes - that is an Italian fabric that channels the air. When in the aero position - all our channels line up and help guide the airflow. We spent a lot of time designing the patterns to get the best out of the suit.

It has our thin aero pad so it works well in and out of the water.

We have had some great results in testing. Maybe Brian Stover will add some comment on our tri suits - he has done testing in Tuscon with his advanced drag system.
