Pic test/critique position

http://tinypic.com/fee7ab.jpg

Assuming this pic appears (my first attempt at posting one), I’d appreciate some input on my position here. I just installed those new bars. Don’t have brakes yet. Haven’t tried this on the road. Seems comfy, but on the trainer, I seem to want to start scooting out on the bars.

I know I look “layed out.” I have a long torso relative to my legs. This is probably part of it.

Yes … I am in my underwear. I was wearing baggy shorts and a loose T-shirt. Couldn’t tell anything from those pics. Too lazy to go change into cycling gear before snapping the pic.

Thanks for any input. Sure hope the pic works.

OK, how come my link appeared, but not the pic? what did I do wrong?

Old dog who has a problem with new tricks.

You need to paste the link in the box that appears when you click the image icon. If you did that then not sure why it didn’t show up

Oh dude, you’re going to get flamed on this one:

I, myself, am speechless
.

Put some clothes on, boy! That shed looks like splinter city.

Slippers? Did you post a position pic wearing slippers?

This one is going to be at the top of the forum for a looooooooong time, plenty of stuff in the background for bored ST’ers to pick out.

As a matter of fact, I think I see your bike shoes laying next to the saw on the floor behing your front wheel. This thread should keep me entertained for the rest of the workday.

Shouldnt you have a MULLET?

Uh … those are my slippers with the speedplay adapters … yeah … that’s it.

I’m glad I can provide some entertainment for the group. In return, if somebody could shed some light … any light … on the positioning questions. Granted, those are slippers and I am almost naked … but it could be worse. I could be wearing a man bra or some ridiculous thing like that.

Oh, and whoever turned that link into a pic … how?

Thanks,

Bob C.

Clipless slippers kick ass! The ultimate in bike shoe comfort.

I’d say your position is too close to the spray paint cans, high risk of fumes.

Are you wearing boxers and sending the picture to the world?

The only pump that is acceptable to post on slowtwitch would be a silca.

That is freakin’ awesome!

Boxers! Classic.

Moc slippers! My favorites.

Plywood shed. 'Nuff said.

(Position looks fine. How does it feel after an hour?)

A guy with shaved legs and what appears to be some sort of Civil War VHS box set on his work bench…sweeeeeeet!!!

Your seat is definitely not too high. You do look a bit stretched out.

How do you get the Bag Balm stains out of your boxers?

He seems to think it is funny to put down man bras but its okay to post a pic of yourself in boxers in your toolshed? I’m mean, for god’s sake, he rides a trek and has a friggin trek sign in his workshop…words cannot express my disdain for this type of behavior. Please help me flame this guy hard–and here comes the defense of trek…

oh, and you’re T-square is at about 89 degreees, unacceptable.

Those shorts chamois or gels?

is that a band saw by your front tire?

You could use a shorter stem, that looks stressful on the shoulders.

And, you are ballsy to say the least to post such classic stuff…

Have you not been warned about chafing when riding with underware on?

Obviously I really wasn’t thinking when I posted this pic. But it’s been seriously entertaining for me, too … though I know I’m being laughed at, not with.

Regarding the Trek sign … in my defense, if you’ll look closely at the top left you’ll see a set of upside down handle bars (not the ones hanging on the shelf). Those are the bars of a brand new Cervelo Soloist Team! Hopefully that will give me some small measure of redemption.
