Pic test/critique position

oh my god… you’re going to watch the entire ken burns civil war series while riding on your trainer, aren’t you…

Thank you for this pic! This forum has taken a turn for the worst these last couple of days and this picture gave me the giggles!! In the nicest way of course!!! I just knew you were going to be slandered for this one!

"if you’ll look closely at the top left you’ll see a set of upside down handle bars (not the ones hanging on the shelf). Those are the bars of a brand new Cervelo Soloist Team! Hopefully that will give me some small measure of redemption. "

Oh crap. I just noticed that you can see my bar-end mirror on the Soloist. That’s sure to bring more flames. Well, I’m calling that one on myself … so that’s off-limits!

Bob C.

You are killing me! LOL!

Hi-freakin’ larious!

“Self, I wonder what it would feel like to ride the trainer out in the garage IN MY SLIPPERS with the windows closed and 5-gallon buckets of pool chemicals underneath me?”

You left out the slippers.

I’ve often thought to myself…

“Self, I wonder what it would feel like to ride the trainer out in the garage with the windows closed and 5-gallon buckets of pool chemicals underneath me?”

(a new signature, perhaps?)

OH MY GOD… I’m STILL laughing!!!

(And have you ever bent over opening one of those buckets when the chlorine gas envelops you and you almost pass out?! Also… that chlorine gas will rust anything within twenty feet of a CLOSED container!)

OH… and please go to my thread to vote for either Voldemort’s Servant or our cool dude Psycholist

No one has noticed: no brake levers!

And lots of electrical tape, maybe that’s why he is in the shed.

I see a piece on the chain stay, one going around the top tube and one wrapping around the down tube.

"I’ve often heard it is a wise idea to carry a bit of extra cable housing for long rides.

From looking at your rear derailler, it looks like you’re in good shape. "

Hadn’t noticed that before. Thanks.

Dude… I was having a rough day, thanks for a good laugh! As soon as I stop laughing I’ll give you some input on your position… it’s gonna take a while… LOL…

seriously - you could probably go with a shorter stem - as you do look stretched out - and it is hard to tell about your seat height with your pedals at that part of the revolution.

back looks nice and flat - if it is comfortable - and you can get less stretched - you’ll be good.

I definately agree with the smell from the pool chemicals. I do not have an opinion on bike position; there are plenty of experts to give an opinion. I do appreciate the comments and the humor. It is great.

Is that a new style computer mount or do you always just dangle the computer from the stem?

Sorry I can’t comment on your position. I can’t look at it long enough without feeling a little “wierded-out” by staring at a man in boxers, slippers and shaved legs for more than 3 seconds. I can’t get that image out of my head!! Crap!!

If you don’t concentrate too hard on the picture it looks like the towel…um…behind you…is a steering rudder.

Dude, where do you keep the gimp?

You must be new here. I am so sorry.

With all that crap, I wonder what it could be that you felt needed to be hidden under a towel?

Hi Bob,

Reminds me of when I got my 1st bike for Christmas as a kid, I jumped on the bike in my underoos and slippers too. Nice bike!

thank you for this

  • Bring out the gimp.

  • But the gimp is asleep…

  • Well, looks like you gonna have to wake him up, now won’t you???
