More I see the new trek more I think it might just be my next bike. That or the P5, or whatever equivalent cervelo have out next year. I like the canyon but they have really ripped the backside out of the “cut out the middleman†savings with the new model.

Just placed a P1 order for a Speed Concept frame, should arrive by end of May. I’m in the process of sourcing the parts, I’ll be using SRAM Red AXS. Having a hard time finding a blip box, anyone know where some are available? Thanks
The shop was able to order the cockpit and seatpost?
The Project 1 order process includes options for the seat post:
350mm, 20mm fixed offset
350mm, 25mm flipped offset
245mm, 20mm fixed
245mm, 25mm flipped
Cockpit options:
Base tower: 0,10,15,20,30,40mm risers
Basebar: low, med, high
Pad reach: low, med, far
Because of this I assume the seat post and cockpit come with the bike. At least the photo on the P1 order website at Trek shops show the seat post, cockpit, and DT aero bottle as on the frame
I just ordered the new Speed Concept (my 2nd SC bike: Love the SC). My shop says the BTA bootle is not available yet? What is the ETA for when we can get our hands on the BTA for this bike?
I design and sell rear storage boxes for a variety of tri bikes. I’ve had one person reach out asking for a box for the new Speed Concept. Wondering if there are others that would be interested?
I’m also looking for anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area that actually own one that I might be able to take some measurements off of and test fit a prototype on.

Wow it looks great! What aero extensions are you using and the foam grips? I may try to rig something up myself as well, not enjoying the stock bars.
The extensions are the Kaizens from Venturi, the grip is just shrink tubing.

The BTA can be ordered through your Trek retailer now - we have 500 of these arriving by early June (pushed back from May unfortunately). Currently, 340ish left on the current shipment, so get those orders in today to lock in being on the first shipment in case it fills up.

How is the Speed Concepts ETAs coming along? Any time improvement supply chain wise for the SRAM models?
Has anybody figured out how best to make use of the built-in tool/tube storage area? Early reports were that it was pretty tight in there, but what have people been able to fit? Any multitools particularly well-suited? My SC arrives at the end of the month so starting to think about details. . .

In some sizes there are improvements, but we’re still seeing long ETAs. I see ETAs of 141 days and some at 454 days depending on the size of the SRAM Speed Concept models.
I think they missed the mark on that storage unit! There is a specific Bontrager multi tool that fits into a slot which is nice but the amount of storage and the layout of it just doesn’t work all that great.
I was able to squeeze a small Tubolito tube in there, levers, CO2 and inflator head but it wasn’t easy. I don’t know why Trek just didn’t go with the same solution that is used on the Domane. I also purchased the neoprene sleeve that is used on the Domane to try that but it doesn’t work for me either. Also, when in training mode with my regular bottle cages I’m unable to access the compartment due to interference with the cage. I’ll try a different cage but the amount of fiddling with this is way more than I ever anticipated.
That’s just my experience!
