Cool, raw video from him, worth a watch (he barely has any subscribers). Very likeable kid.
Will be interesting to see if he makes a mark this weekend, would be an incredible story.
And maybe LS can hire him as a swim coach ![]()

Man, with the colour of the video, the hair, the pool and the vibe, I feel like I was time-warped back to the '90’s…
Always good to see excited new talent moving into the Ironman arena. Will be cool to see how he does.
He seems very wise beyond his years, very well done and I hope his first Ironman is memorable in all the right ways.
Subscribed, but I don’t like insanely good looking male triathletes and I’m already following Matt Hauser.
yeah it’s kind of obnoxious, plus he seems really nice. Bullshit really as I turn 50 and get crotchety…lol
ETA already subscribed and his stuff is really good so far.
Max Stanley was just saying on the Triathlon Mockery pod today that Jamie took his IG from 10k>75k followers just last year so I guess this is his YT year. The videos are very well done and I hope he gets his KQ this weekend.
Huge potential. Is well inside the best 10 swimmers in the sport (I daresay would come out in any front group, even one with Hannes Butters leading it), solid on the bike albeit probably needs a few more years development to excel over 180km and the sky’s the limit with his run.
I think the full distance might just be a step too far atm for where he’s at, but can see him pushing the pace early this weekend at IM South Africa and featuring heavily until Magnus decides to rip the race apart mid way through the bike.
I do think if Riddle was given 12 months racing T100 or really focused on the big international 70.3’s that most people would be surprised at how well he would do in them.
I think him and Bitados would have been more logical choices than Pearson for the last Wildcard slot. Understand Pearson may have a bit more ‘publicity’ potential, especially being from the USA.
There are a lot of athletes with results that on paper would have been better choice than Pearson, he isn’t just a wildcard (one off entrant)but has an actual hotshot contract for the entire season. He got the contract because he is USA.
Yes, sorry, by wild card I meant to say Hotshot.
Was lucky enough to sit down over a meal with him in Banyoles, Spain back in 2022. Excited to see how he executes on Sunday.
I think it’s just good business by the PTO to have Pearson race. He’s good for engagement/entertainment leading into races. He’s also got a lot of upside in terms of actual performance. IF it was purely based on who would have the best chance of competing then Bitados is the obvious choice of everyone not contracted. He’s SUCH a beast and still so unknown. Although my understanding of it is that Bitados probably wouldn’t have accepted a contract if it had been offered.
Yes, he’s still so young that he may want to focus on this next Olympic cycle still.
Given that he is on the world triathlon development team ,that’s a fair assumption.
At the same time in 10 middle distance races I would say he beets Pearson at least 8 times.
Awesome clip. you can’t not love this guy.
Amazing recap, very inspirational, and an outstanding person!
I can’t believe this Apollo of a human being has actually made himself relatable. He has! Great stuff.
Hahaha…So true.
