I’ve finally finished to download it last night … but I’ve got sound but no image, with the message: 'Video not available, cannot find ‘vids:DIVX decompressor’. Any idea/suggestion?
Thanks

have you got the Divx codec on your pc already? if not, go here: http://www.divx.com/divx/play/ and download it. I think you have to download the player bundle but once you’re a few steps into the process it asks you if you want to install the codec only. I would suggest installing only the codec cause the player isn’t that good IMHO.
Thasnk a lot, it works. Awesome video. Not a lot of work for the next hour ![]()
No problem. I don’t have my copy at work :(.
Glad to see everyone seems to have managed get a copy of it…it was close though. Last night around 10:00 Windows decided to up and die on me ![]()
Once I get it back up and running, is anybody interested in any stages of this year’s tour de france? I managed to record most of them.
If I said I am in the process of creating an avi of the epic race of 1989 (“Battle of the Titans”) and would be willing to create a torrent would anyone be interested? The quality is good enough to watch - but bare in mind it was on a VHS tape for 16 years. Pretty good quality considering.
Something about watching Dave Scott and Mark Allen battle it out that really gets my engine going (in a purely heterosexual way. “Not that there is anything wrong with it!”)
Holy crap, you serious? me me me me me me me me me, I’m interested. That would be great.
I have wanted that footage for years. That would be awsome.
Thanks.
Yes Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase !
I haven’t been able to get the hawaii one yet. Is it now gone? I tried was was said but could get a connection. Is it still available? Any others would be appreciated as well.
Already have Hawaii 89, found on an old video at a house i moved into.
Yeah that would be awesome. I have never seen that race.
Awesome race this year though huh?..I hope I am not the only one that gets gushy at the personal stories.
Training for IronmanUK so all this stuff is great for getting through the winter months.
Cheers Guys,
Gordon.
I have put it on EMule, but it’s a BIG file (533MB)
.
do you have a link or anything, how do you get hold of it?
go to http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1
get the free software, install it. then you need to connect to a server. I use razorback 195.245.244.243 (somebody suggested it on slowtwitch). The nsearch for the file (Ironman Hawaii 2005 DivX.avi), download time will depend on yours and my server speed, but the best is just to leave it download and wait. I’ll leave my computer on this week end. hope it helps

Still trying but can’t seem to find the file unfortunately. Have Doenload, connected, but the only searches are showing German productions. Any ideas? Not good at this modern stuff.
I searched myself and the first time I did not find it, then did it again and it was there … maybe some sort of delay in publishing a file. Try a search with ‘Hawaii 2005’ and limit to video only. Sorry, I don’t have any other suggestion ![]()
thanks, will try that
.
The torrent should still be working. At the tracker, it’s showing 19 seeders…
Is it now gone?
I’m still seeding. Hang in there; it’ll get back.

A good option for viewing video without having to install all kinds of media decoders (since many include spyware) is : http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Unfortunately this you can’t view Real Media or Quicktime, but it works fine for most AVI or MPG files.
