I get a windows message that it can’t identify it.
Torrents are just small ‘shortcuts’ to the actual file. You will need a bit torrent client that will allow you to connect to the server and download the real file. It kind of works the way Napster used to in the sense that it is a peer-to-peer client.

go to ‘download now’ in the middle of the pg. Install it, then open the file (the nbc kona torrent) and it should open the client automatically and start downloading. If it doesn’t connect right away retry it or just be patient and let it run. A lot of people are downloading it now so it may take some time.
Slowly working for me - 15 leachers at under 3% so I’m expecting it to timeout soon. Anyone able to reseed it?
We’re up to 46 leachers now…I’ll se if I can get another seeder up and running…won’t happen until this evening at the earliest though…
This is great… I’m in class slacking off and my computer is at home working hard downloading that sweet sweet Ironman for me!
I finally hooked up my TiVO to the Home Network … man is that awesome. For the price of a wireless adapter I can now:
Schedule recordings from anywhere thru the Internet
Copy Tivo recordings to my computer to burn on DVD
Browse photos/music on my computer thru my big screen TV and Tivo
If only it could tape HDTV 
but now that I see the size of the conventional files (811MB for 1/2 hr of high quality) I can’t imagine the disk space needed for HDTV programming
I haven’t gotten a 2nd box yet but I think I’m going to grab on for Xmas. Tivo is awesome!
Can anyone convert this to a wmv file or soemthing I can download through a firewall her at work?
The issue isn’t so much the file format…the problem is the distribution mechanism…

The problem is that the file is like 2.4 GB. It would take me 2-3 hrs to move it from tivo to computer and then the only real way to get it would be through emule or some other p2p.

Thanks for the info. I have done as you described. With 512 DSL my download speed is between 1 and 4 KB/s so it could take in excess of 50hrs. Is that right or does it sound too slow? Any suggestions?
Sounds about right - I’ve got 128Kbps ISDN and it’s coming with 3-4kB/s (+30 hours) while feeding with 7-8kB/s

The hold up is on my side, since I’m the only one seeding it. It’s only going out at a grand total of 20 k/sec for some reason. It should be getting up to 50 but I’m not sure why it’s not…
