1.20.45 half for Kat. Bwoah!
Cam is hanging strong. Very impressed
Matthews running at 2:42 pace. Knibb running at 2:58 marathon pace as is Perterer in #3.
KQ looking like (at present):
Matthews, Knibb, Zilinskas, Alberts, Chura
They are in General just bad. They dont add excitement, they lack knowledge the hardcore slow twitcher has and you would expect a pro commentator to have too, they miss things happening on screen and talk less about the race and more about stories around athletes (which is ok to some degree to fill 8h of commentary), but the contrast to vicki and jan in t100 is insane!
Ironman Texas facebook page shows a semi flipped over the median into the bike course. Hope athletes are okay.
YIKES. That’s scary.
Matthews heading for overall 8:07 (if she maintains pace).
So blummenfelt is not going to beta magnus Roth record, im suprised by that! Matbe too hot in texas?
The Norwegian hype train is delivering again.
Ditlev Roth 7:23:24
KB Texas 7:24:20
Sorry for not participating, but wanted to say thanks to @Ajax_Bay for getting the thread going because you can dissappear off the internet and come back from training and arrive on the thread and get the blow by blow.
Someone referred to a Knibb crash above. What were the circumstances?
@Nick_wovebike any word of Trevor’s issues?
Getting off the bike in t2. She ate it right at the line.
Rudy Rudy Rudy!
Did they completely miss Benito blowing and being overtaken by both RVB and Bakkegard?
nevermind just wrong timing from IM. It has been really patchy today
Trevor was having a shit day and started cramping almost immediately on the bike apparently.
ABL running like Lionel to finish this off.
where does Blu’s 7:24 rank on the alltime list. It seems just yesterday sub 2 on half IM was a big deal and he does a 48/3:57/2:34. I see Woodlands Texas on my weather feed at 30C and 44% percent humidity, but not sure how accurate that is relative to temps on the ground there. Anyone there able to share the relative humidity given that 2:34 run
Trevor has not had great luck since that amazing IMLP day last year. Frankfurt not up there and Kona crash coming towards T2
As I said:
Ditlev Roth 7:23:24
KB Texas 7:24:20
KB went faster in Coz (7:22 iirc) but 38 minute swim, so ‘doesn’t count’.

Yeah that Cozumel swim we can discount, but today was no wetsuit? And it was fresh water too
