man that was cool… i almost bought the bike right there… 4000$ for the demo bike. what do you guys think? how hard with it be for me to find it? I wanted to test ride a lucero as well… I love that 48cm… kind of tough to jump back on my bike for racing tomorrow!
buy it!
now go put your feet up!!!

well SAC doesn’t think i should buy a demo bike… but I’d have it right away. that sounds god to me
hey girl. you’re a sagitarious. “wait” is not in the vacabulary! LOL!!
negotiate. tell them to take another 400 dollars off and it’s a deal right then and there. try to find out how much it’s been ridden.
Marisol
Relax and have a great race
Your bike rocks!!!
There were a load of them being demoed(sp?) at Penticton. Could be the same ones.
i know… “wait” is not part of my vocab:-) julian you are right, that is what sac is worried about , that those bikes were demoed all year, not worth it for me to buy it. how hard will it be for me to find one?
I guess Tom might have a good idea on that, although it might be a good idea to ask on the stand, I’m sure they could get you some details.
Have a great race tomorrow, remind me of your bib number so I can look out for you.
At least now you know what size you want. place and order for a new one. Remember, the offseason will be right around the corner. Plenty of time to get a new bike.
I’ve been waiting 2 mos for a 56
They are scarce.
what “off season???” I caught myself telling phil that I was doing arizona… then i was like “did i just say that?”
I am not patient. I want the bike NOW. But again I don’t want a demo bike if it’s not good to buy one.
Bib number is 1370… man, it’s coming soon…![]()
A friend of mine is there in Kona for the race as well and ordered a size 48 P3C several months ago hoping to get it in time. It didn’t and she is riding her Talon this weekend. I think the 48’s are still a bit tough to get. She is going through Nytro which is a major dealer.
If you meet a hottie blond named Mady drueling over the size 48, say hi from Mike.
Don’t forget, in the heat of the race, to enjoy your time out there. After all it is an experience to be savoured, and one I one year hope to experience.
Race smart and stay safe.
Well, truth be told, I would say the only thing you getting with a new bike is the ability to put your own ‘scratches’ on it. These things are paper mache. They are built to last. But I know I don’t just lay my bike around like a rental may have been.
If you are going to make the move, just give the bike a throrough review. I couldn’t imagine them having more than 100 miles on them. The ? mark is how were they stored and cared for?
Keep the dough in your pocket.
Even at a modest 9% interest compounded monthly, that $4g’s would be worth $79k in 30 years.
I haven’t ridden it, but I don’t know if I could stop from pulling the trigger either.
Good luck. I’ll be following live tomorrow.
shit. you have good instincts. if the bike looks good, and you get it checked out ok–i vote to buy it. negotiate a few hundred bucks off, then you can come home and have a new toy to be psyched up about…not to mention taking it with you to arizona to ride when you jet out for the weekends. i don’t think you’d regret it (provided that it checks out ok).
and–have AN AWESOME TIME TOMORROW!!!
I will be thinking of you the ENTIRE day and following along! Wish I was there (next year I promise to be
)
kick ass,
kittycat
$4000 for a demo bike… what a deal…
Sophie-
BUY IT NOW !!!
4K is a very good price + you’ve already ridden it,and I’m assuming it was sweet.
Plus …the added bonus that you bought it in Kona : - )
