$4K isn’t that great of a deal on this model, as MSRP is only 300 more. But I guess if you’ve got that kind of coin to drop it would be tempting.
My training partner was very happy to have demo’d the P3C in Penticton, as he said it confirmed for him he didn’t need it. Nothing against the P3C - he just really likes his present bike and it works for him.
Size 48 is scarce. The one Marisol is looking at is the one that was at Interbike. I tried to get it for my wife but they (Cervelo) were taking it to Ironman and wouldn’t sell it to me.
Other sizes, especially 56 are not scarce. I have 5 here at my shop and Cervelo has more to send out. 51, 54, and 58 are also available.

Sophie, it was way too long. You were way too stretched out. You need to try the Lucero or something with a shorter top tube. honestly, blank this out of your mind until Sunday morning
when you get home, give Ves a call, and fly out to his shop or email your measurements, and have him make you a custom ride to fit you perfectly, out of carbon/scandium
transfer your components, upgrade to 10 speed ($400) and keep rolling
you will have a custom made bicycle that will fit you better than anything stock bike ever could, for about $2500 frame/fork
… food for thought … you know how important having something “custom” is, when stock sizes just don’t quite work

Well, the 48’s didn’t go into production until 4 weeks ago, so that gives you an indication of how much it was demo’d. It was ridden one day at Interbike, and now they’re in Kona. Glad you liked it though.

The toptube is not longer than on the Aegis, Paulo must have been looking at the 75 degree seattube angle geometry chart. At 78 degrees (which is probably how you test rode it), it’s not longer. That is probably why it didn’t feel too big to you.

The smallest Lucero has a toptube that is 5mm longer than the P3 Carbon she tested.

I assume you are going back up to the line for midnight, or are you too far from it now and just chilling? Whichever, I hope you enjoyed the day while you were racing. A great acheivement to qualify, awesome to post that time today.
The center-center measurement of the toptube is meaningless, as it would mean that the more we curve the seattube, the bigger the frame gets. That’s of course not the case, the frame size is determined directly by the cistance forward from the bb to the headtube (the reach) or indirectly by the distance from the saddle tip to the headtube (with the saddle tip a certain distance behind the bb). It doesn’t matter if the seattube is straight, curved or zig-zag, your position would be the same. But that seattube shape does affect the center-center toptube length that you would measure. I hope that makes sense.
I did not like my P3 the first many times I rode it till I got it tuned in…now I love it - it is a rocket ship. The P3C with out question will be MUCH lighter and “quicker” than your Aegis. I am not at all shocked that you liked it that much compared to what you are on. Herbert may not like this comment but between the two you get the P3C - not marketing, not brand hype but because it is a bike with more options than the Roo (seat angles and that fun stuff). If you can afford it…buy it.
I get all that, but the question then is, where is the right place to measure it?
Bottom line is that the frame is too long for Marisol, the bike she rode had a 7cm stem and still she was stretched out. I looked at the bike and felt that with a 10-12cm stem I could ride it, I’m 5 8.
