I saw today on the news that the players are saying that one of the coaches told them to hit the ref. An assistant coach I think it was. The players are now saying that they were doing what they were told. The coach told one player and he told the other player and they did it.

question for anyone who played high school football -
if you want to hurt the ref, and are willing to be patient, how doable would it be to “inadvertently” ram into him at some point in the game? it happens from time to time in the nfl, don’t know about other levels.
It wouldn’t be easy. I played TE and OLB, you could definitely sort of “run into and trip” a ref but a blindside hit would be tough. A DB or WR could probably pull it off the easiest.

The LR does it again. I’ve never seen a collection of people that were such well behaved high schoolers. Nobody on this board ever did drugs, got in fights, drove drunk or made some other stupid 17 year old testosterone infused mistake.
I think the kids will learn their lesson without needing to be branded felons for life. It was clear there was more to the story from minute 1.
