Hi peeps, out for a bit

bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel suspected, need to confirm w emg, likely two surgeries coming up

can’t type much even w dictation as have almost no use of hands beyond being able to shower / feed self / very minimal day to day stuff. Anything over that → high pain levels. I’m in Maine w parents helping take care of me.

can someone else start weekly accountability for awhile? 271 days of healty coping in a row for me as of yesterday, 272 this AM

same on swim, if the thread isn’t up, Dry January Is For Other People

wrist/hand patients who have had these surgeries, advice appreciated, may not see it for a bit

I’ll be back as soon as I can. I’m going to be ok!
I love you all

PM inbound.

After I started getting carpel pain from my work on computer I started using some things from this kit. I find the best therapy is the finger bands and grip gun. Soon my carpel pain was gone.

I’m happy to put up the accountability thread for now. Wondering how that’ll go without the cadence you bring to it, but let’s see.

Sending positive vibes for a speedy and uneventful recovery.

Good luck Dr. TC! We’ll miss you. Wishing you a straightforward and speedy recovery.

Bilateral!? That sucks. Hope it’s fixed soon!

Oh no my fav Doc!!
Never had the surgery. Don’t stress too much about it, the surgery itself is not overly complex. It is more having it done bilaterally which adds a few unique challenges. (Bidet at home??? (serious question))
Good luck for it all.
Keep in touch as best you can.
Hope you get a great anaesthetist!!

Bidet at home… Can confirm. We got a pair for my wife when she had rotator cuff surgery last month. Inexpensive and easy to install if you don’t need warm water. :grimacing:

Anybody can put you to sleep. Good ones can wake you back up, too!

Feel free to hit me up anytime you’re back on home soil.

Sending hugs!!

Wishing you all the best in the procedures and recovery. I had the cubital tunnel release a year ago, after complications from a broken elbow in a bike crash. Please don’t hesitate to PM if I can lend any experience, perspective, or just lend an ear.
