lets see how many time that changes in the next 10 days.
Guys…stop wasting your mental bandwidth on factors that you cannot control (weather). Pack for a wide range of conditions, the day before the race you will know what the weather will be, arm your special needs bags for those conditions and let it rip.
This is an Ironman…just focus on what is in your control (tactics, nutrition, pacing…) rather than things that are outside your control…(weather, draft packs, kona slots, competitors…)
I’m not really worried more than I an curious to see if the weater will coorerate this year. For me it’s not a point of stress, it’s more of a time killer while Tapering.

I concur…I’m not worried…just like to know what to expect.
But I can now say, with great certainty, that it won’t rain. This morning weather.com said 50% chance of rain. So I just ordered a killer Assos rain jacket, overnighted to me…cost several billion dollars…now the rain chance is down to 10% again. All contributions will be gratefully accepted.
It looks like it’ll be cold before and after the swim…and at the finish for us slow-types.
I went out and bought a rain jacket as well. I figure its money well spent to keep everybody else dry but causing it not to rain.
…we can put a donation jar in T2. Pony up everyone…share the love.

It still looks to be quite nice: Some clouds, high of 74: If it doesn’t get to 80, we will enjoy the mildest IMCDA yet.
I’m glad the lake cooled off too (to about 60 over the weekend). A week of sunny weather and I bet it will be its usual 65 degrees: Perfect.
Doesn’t get much better than that!
I’m sitting here in Salt Lake waiting for my connecting flight and it’s beautiful here too. So much sun!

Looks like it’ll be great! It will be low 80’s today and through Thurs. and then cooling back down…supposed to be sunny and 70’s for the weekend…however the weather seems to change around here in a minutes notice…BEST OF LUCK TO ALL!

I don’t have the exact temp, but I can tell you that the water is freeezing. I couldn’t swim in it yesterday because I didn’t have a cap, and now i’m doing the 2 cap thing. Hopefully you have sleeves.
A couple things to consider though–it’s getting warmer so the water will too. And i’m kind of a pussy.

I wouldn’t count on high 60’s, I would say it is probably still low 60’s, and MAYBE mid-60’s by Sunday.

Thanks. I am a bit of a pussy in cold water, also. I just went to the bike shop and bought a nice Desoto Neoprene cap. Covers the ears and feels pretty comfy. Should help a lot. Good luck to you.
