I’m using Oakley Half Jackets at the moment but the problem I have is that when I’m on the tri bars and my head is low, the frame of the glasses obstructs my vision. Can anyone recommend some glasses (preferably Oakley!) which will not obstruct my vision. Thanks in advance.
If you go here:

and scroll down to the bottom of the “used for” drilldown you can select the “triathlon” category and get a list of good tri/time trial sunglasses
The radar blades are what I use. They are specifically designed for time trialling, the frame is up higher on your head. They come in curve and straight arm versions (straight is better for cramming under TT helmets)
Hey,
I used to have Oakleys for a few years, but Rudy Project is something you might want to try. (Never went back to using Oakleys.
Oakley Zeros… they are frameless.
Oakley Radars. Not too much frame but they are clear and very good looking glasses. I had the Oakley half jackets for a long time and when I switched to the new Radars it was a night and day difference.
Radar XL straight blades…you’re welcome.
I know it’s old tech but I still love my oakley M frames
.
Another vote for Oakely Radar, they sit up a little higher on your face so when your head’s tilted down the frame won’t obstruct your vision. Also, you can get pretty much any lenses you want for them. I’ve got the G40 Photochromic and the Red Iridum Polarized and love them both, and the frame fits under my helmet (Giro Advantage 2) perfectly.
Im with ironmanfan. Trained in radars for the summer in aero position and barely noticed they were there.
Rudy Project Sportmask. Best pair of sunglasses I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned quite a few, including Radars.
I use Oakley Racing Jacket (prescription) and Tifosi cycling glasses when wearing contacts. Tifosis are inexpensive ($60) and good quality with no obstruction issues for me.
MSA safety glasses all the way!
Less than $10 ant your local hardware/home improvement store.
Great visibility all around.
I bought three pair for less than $20. Save your cash for something better.
If I lose/break/scratch these, I won’t feel like a looser for spending $200 on sunglasses.

My radars help me spell loser… sorry i couldn’t resist.
x2 on the Oakley Radar’s. Fit great. Alot of pro’s use these too.
Love my radars. I can easily see when in the aero position in them

I had the same problem before especially with my TT helmet on, but these do the trick
.
I’ve been pretty happy with cheapo glasses with interchangeable lenses from Performance Bike. They are often on sale for <$20. Plenty comfortable, optics seem fine and you can’t beat the price.
I have some Rudy Projects years ago. It got scatched and broken just as quickly as the cheap ones.
I would never use Oakley Radars for TTing as they sit way too low on my face, however the Radar XL’s are absaloutly perfect offering no visual impediment. The next best option is the Jawbones.
zeal optics Slingshot:

made specifically for cycling, and esp TT. built-in sweatguard works extremely well to keep sweat from going into eyes and smudging the eye brows. photochromatic lens changes with light conditions. i think Zeal’s lenses, in general, are probably the most impressive, most noticeable difference from other cheaper lenses like Rudy, etc.
Endura Marlin (http://www.endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?dept_id=138&prod_id=346) solved that problem for me. Photochromatic too, so they adapt to varying light and fit well on the run too. Not Oakley, though.
