Cast iron, properly seasoned is just as non-stick as any thing else. They don’t add any trace elements and they never wear out.
I got my three in the 1980’s. My wife doesn’t like to cook with them because they are too heavy but she likes when I cook with them because they cook so well.
^^^^^^
This, we have a number of cast Iron frying pans and they are great we will never have a coated pan again!
Cast is great but sometimes you just want to cook something now and not 10 minutes from now when it gets up to temperature.
I use cast and steel as much as possible. Learning to properly use a steel pan has really improved my cooking. For my daily morning omelette I use an 8" non stick of whatever Costco sells.
I’m trying one from Made In right now. So far, so good.
We are fans of Scan Pans
scan is good stuff. i would be very happy with scan. beware, tho, you’re now rich apparently.
Would you prefer I thought of you as a pauper?
I made the switch over to stainless steel earlier this year and have no plans of going back. Not the answer you were looking for, but with proper use they are just as non-stick as anything else. I went with a set of tramontina pans from Costco as it was the best value. My suspicion is these pots and pans will last indefinitely. You ought to try getting a frying pan before stainless steel out.

You rarely hop over from the dark side these days so it’s easy to forget you exist.

This is what I thought when read the title of the topic.
Though as far as I understood, Tefal can be different. My Mom bought a Tefal pan in Greece (it was made in France) and she cooked on it for almost 10 years. And I bought Tefal at my local store and threw it away in three years.
I assume you know that non-stick frying pans are linked to Alzheimer’s.
Having issues with cheap pans. What’s the best non stick pan?
I did some research after reading your comment. I’m not sure that whatyou said is completely accurate.

T Fal seems to work quite well for us. We use for a few years and get a new one. We can do that because we are rich

I love the peasants who think they’re rich. If you were rich, you would have a chef cook for you and he/she would provide his own cookware. Sigh. Time to have Baxter fly to Maine on the jet so we can have lobster for dinner.

I’m a big fan of cast iron, but they can be too heavy if you like to pick up and move around the pan when cooking. I wouldn’t want to try tossing pasta in my cast iron (it wouldn’t have the right edge for that either.)
A lighter option is carbon steel. It doesn’t retain heat the same as CI, but it still a solid material that will last a life time.

I use cast iron and carbon steel, and then I have some stainless steel copper core pans. Expensive but worth it for me.
I do have a cheap non-stick that I use for eggs when I’m lazy and want to cook in less than five minutes, with little cleanup. Perfect for some eggs or a grilled cheese.

I love the peasants who can’t afford dogs that are smart enough to fly on airplanes and pick out lobsters. How do you little people get by?

I’m amused by the peasants who haven’t freed themselves from the need to eat food for sustenance by transferring their consciousness into living robots, and who still think travel needs to take place by plane instead of the secret rich people worldwide system of tubes. So cute.

You’re still using the tubes? Peasant!
Makes sense.
My colleague has 4 PhDs an Mph and mba so I pretty much believe whatever he says.
