Anymore new NA Ironman events in 2026?

Anyone have any leads on Ironman making anymore 2026 new race announcements? Hoping maybe something to replace Arizona possible? Doubtful they’d add anything the spring lineup at this point but maybe late season…

It’s my understanding they are working on a new race.

Do you have any understanding of where or when?

I was told it’s “nearby” in the Southwest.

Ruidoso

LOL, although I am signed up for the 70.3. And it’s not Tucson. I’m thinking maybe Vegas.

:crossed_fingers: Bit of a drive, but I could do Vegas. Still hoping for Coeur d’Alene to come back as a full at some point. I wonder if Boise could work as a full too.

Same timeframe? E.g. Mid-November

It could be.

Redding 70.3, Northern California, mid August for 2026

As I stated in my thread on the same subject, I would almost feel obligated to do one in Vegas. But I can’t see a course that isn’t just a nightmare in elevation. I hope they can work something out though.

Just got an email with subject “Something big is coming, don’t miss it.”

The link points to the Ironman home page but it has utm_campaign=8918168-NA 2026 - 70.3 | All Races - MKT in the URL so sounds like another 70.3 is about to be announced (I’m hearing that Ironman has been looking at Bellingham, WA for another race).

Anyone know where those pics are from? The waterfront shot with a capital bldg in the background…?

That’s the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison at the top and I think the bottom image is Boulder. Madison already has a half and a full, and Boulder has a half, so I don’t think the images are a clue.

Madison on top and Boulder on the bottom. My thought is potential options for 70.3 worlds in 2027

Copy. I thought the bottom looked like Boulder…

I thought so too, but 70.3 WC is in Nice next year.

Sorry, I meant 2027. Rumor is North America will get that one

OK, I do know of a new 70.3 and a new IM which are coming shortly. The 70.3 is a replacement for St. George and the full for IMAZ. Also, there are 4 cities left in the bidding for 70.3 Worlds, all in the US.

Looks like we’re gonna learn the 2017 70.3 WC location next week.
