Another new 70.3 - name every city with a bridge

What are peoples guesses on location.

First thought was Bridge looked like the Zakim in Boston but too close to western MA thats renewed.

Maybe Tacoma, WA?

Some options that have similar cable-stay bridges
Charleston, SC - Seems like a solid possibility
Tampa, FL
NYC - Since they already have Jones Beach that seems a stretch
Corpus Christi - Seems unlikely since they just announced another Texas race

My first thought, too

Sunshine skyway bridge in Tampa, Fl

I am hopeful for another race in the north east. According to chatgpt the photo map was reused from the little elm announcement.

I read this in Captain Holt’s voice, made my day.

Could be Savannah Ga as well. Would be a nice addition to the lovely autumn swim in the Savannah River a few hours NW

In Iowa I heard it’s going to be in Omaha, they have a suspension pedestrian bridge over the river like pictured.

It’s Omaha. Bob Kerry pedestrian bridge, desert dome at the zoo, Omaha street map in the background

So I’m a bit confused. Didn’t Omaha get announced as a 70.3. a week or so ago? I thought I read it was going there by someone on here with a screenshot of IM/Omaha welcoming a 70.3 to it’s location? So is this now going for another location in addition to Omaha, or has nothing officially been announced?

That was Dallas, there has been a lot of chatter about Omaha though.

Ok thanks, good catch…so yes they did just announce another race, just not Omaha (sorry Dallas).

I don’t like driving over bridges, especially ones that don’t have “anything on the side”

Our first day in Charleston, I saw that an said " whoa, that’s tall, and kinda sketchy for me"

But, it’s pretty wide, so when I skootch’d to the middle, I really couldn’t see over the edge (edges are always the problem), and just said to myself ‘it’s just a hill’ as I focused on the concrete in front of me

During our week down there, we went over it three or four times, so by the time we came home, Ravenel & I had made peace with each other

The bridge, not the creep from Southern Charm LOL

I hear you. The old bridge scared the living daylights out of me. It was white knuckles and turn off the radio for that crossing. :grinning:. The new bridge is great to run over though.
