You know historically politics were discussed in coffee shops and several political movements were started in them as well
Is Coffee Shop the new name for Lavender Room or is it another category?
Of all the lame changes, this is the lamest.
New name.

Bitter, with a sense of poor choice?
I’ve also met my sport coaches and athletes in coffee shops specifically to discuss, well, sport.
And the name chsnge was needed because?
It’s bitter and complex, like most of us.

They’re scrubbing history. The Lavender Room had some stink on it because there had been some content that the advertisers find distasteful.
Dark, nutty, and roasty
The powers-that-be don’t know or don’t care about the history of the Lavender Room. I was just warned that the LR’s time-honored phrase “Why do hate ” was either false or pushing misinformation.
Are these the same advertisers who ask me to click to see Taylor Swift nearly naked?
I find the advertisers and the new owners distasteful.
