GTB and Waugh, which will both want to drop Taylor, Julie and Ash as much as possible.
By the way, good news from the swim venue, they’re swimming there tonight for their normal splashing about and they’re also having a sort of aquathlon, so should all be good.
@Kyleglass91 just in case you were still wondering
When I saw Curran had had to DNS I thought McDonald might go for it, even have raced hard last weekend. With a score in London she has a chance of staying top #15 T100.
Only two hours up the road in t’ Midlands and a home race for family and friends’ support opportunity.
No PTO/T100 “free travel” btw.
There isn’t more firepower in London compared to Vancouver on the women’s side… if anything it’s weaker without Kingma and Spivey. Lawrence was the furthest back in that group in Vancouver and she could struggle if she hasn’t yet recovered from IMLP. So the front swim pack is really LCB, Learmonth, Waugh, Knibb, GTB, Lawrence with Derron and Gentle likely to drop off the pack.
Yes: GTB and Waugh.
India Lee will be up there with Derron and Gentle too.
I knew it would never be in jeopardy
What am I missing? The bigger the group the easier its going to be to hang on, no one is going to the front of the swim other than LCB and Learmonth.
Like IM SA after 4-5 cancellations in a row right?
Missing the speed
I cant remember the last time a triathlon was cancelled for water quality… IMSA swim is cancelled bc waves you know that
Madrid european champs olympic distance 2 years ago - I was there racing in the AG, Jonny Brownlee on the pro podium

Chattanooga 70.3, but I think that was because of flow rate. Victoria 70.3 had the swim cancelled because of an algae bloom.
How did the swim tonight go?
I wasn’t there as I live on the opposite side of London, I swam somewhere else and it was great, feeling ready for sunday!
Predictions…
- Geens
- Bogen
- Smith (edit swapped for Bergere who apparently had niggles)
Womens
- Knibb
- Waugh
- Derron
To be fair, Amberger is a fair way fown the contender rankings so may not have bothered to enter himself with fed.
I love the crazy stuff Jan says where you can tell he just doesn’t care what people think:
“British triathlon is the sweatshop of China” - it’s so great. He says it positively I guess, but it’s just such a German thing to do where you’re wondering if you were actually just insulted by the compliment.
Anyone know who’s going to be in commentary? I keep hoping Ali Brownlee will make a comeback, Brownlee, Holland and Frodo would be a dream team (with a host type person)
I want TO back in the mix. I know he did IM not T100 but he was so good and would kill with that team.
He has barely featured anywhere in the last 12 months, think he knows he doesn’t have the form to be competitive in any T100 race so it’s pointless
Think his best days are behind him
