So far most of the reviews I’ve read about the recent concerts have been overwhelmingly positive!
Ouch, Broad Street Run weekend; priorities, priorities?
Thanks for thinking of me!!!
Super cool! Dave also has released a shirt for the Super Bowl.
I should also update my 2025 concerts while I am here:
Jan 24: Will Varley and Stephen Kellog
Feb 19: Skinny Lister
March 27: Dave Hause
March 29: Chuck Ragan
March 30: Screeching Weasel and the Queers (its going to be a busy and weird week)
May 2-4: Sing Us Home Festival
June 7: Menzingers and Lucero
We should try to meet up at Sing Us Home. As of right now, I will likely be traveling in solo.
There’s a local venue with a capacity of 420. Chuck Ragan is playing there with Cory Branan this spring. Bouncing Souls with Dave Hause are also playing there. Seems like they should be playing bigger venues, but I’ll take it.
Sounds like we both reside in the same small corner of the music world. I’ve seen most of the acts on your list. I met Black Guy Fawkes once, super nice guy but I can’t say his music stuck with me.
The venue Chuck and Cory are playing here seats 240 and serves food to my table. It is all very dignified :). Dave is playing with Sean McConnell here at a slightly smaller venue (200 seated). I find it odd to be going to shows that are seated but in the end, it is super nice to not have to stand all night.
It seems there are quite a few of us here in the Lavender Room listening to this stuff. To bad, I yet to find a good group of local show friends yet.
You guys just inspired me to get Chuck Ragan tickets… saw him open for Social Distortion way back, maybe 2011(?) and loved his music, but haven’t really kept up with it since. Just checked out some of his newer stuff on Youtube though - so good.
That fills out that weekend nicely - Chuck Ragan on the Saturday, Stereophonics on the Sunday.
Adding some generational diversity to this wonderfully geriatric discussion /pink
Just saw houndmouth last friday for their one hit wonder song
Coming up:
Feb 12 Foster the people
Mar 29 Saint Motel
May 16 Toro y moi
May 20 Mallrat
May 31-Jun 1 Outside fest ( Khruangbin, Sylvan Esso, lord huron, Waxahatchee)
Still need to figure out which red rocks concert im going to pay too much for as well.
February 9: Ludacris and The Revivalists at a pre-game party and then Kendrick Lamarre and Sza later.
Wasn’t someone going to one of the FireAid concerts? Report please.
Here’s a timeline of both.
First show of 2025 … was the New Years Eve Band of Horses show at the Fillmore in Denver.
I didn’t think I was going to be able to make it because of work, but a recent re-assignment and schedule re-alignment made it possible.
My 4th time seeing BoH and this was the most rock show I’ve seen them play. At times, almost punk/noise rock. We had a great time … went with my daughter and her husband. The wifey splurged on a table in the reserved seating area - which is the only way to fly.

Nine Inch Nails
I was in the front of the mud pit at Woodstock ‘94 when Trent climbed up to the stage right in front of us. Second only to an early Tool show for the most intense performance I’ve seen live. Man that was a fucking nuclear performance.
Just put my name on the presale list for The Weeknd’s tour this summer.
I just picked up my tickets for the Frank Turner SUH after show!!!

I was just coming here to mention that show. Love, Ire and Song is one of my favorite albums.
Tears for Fears this past weekend at the Fontainebleau in Vegas. Excellent, as always.
Milwaukee Summerfest lineup has been announced. Can’t say that I’m super excited about the lineup. I’m planning on picking one of the weekends. Leaning to the last weekend with the Lumineers and Social Distortion. Hoping that blurred act is something worth while.
I am looking at 1st weekend summerfest. Gary Clark Jr, Allman Betts, Eggy.
I like this overall lineup more than last years.

If you like blues rock you might really like The Record Company
Just added Chris Stapleton in August to calendar.
