Here's the deal- we probably all have some good stuff lying around that we don't need. Could be cycling gear, running gear, or random things (video games you don't play, movies, etc). I vote we start a Pay it Forward deal. You post something extra you have and somebody else can claim it, for free. The benefit for you? You get to claim somebody else's free item. So you help to clear out your garage and you get something useful in return. And on and on it goes. Free shipping all around, too. No, we don't want your shoes with 872 miles. Find something good that still has lots of life left.

I'll start with a $50 gift card to The Athlete's Foot in Cameron Village. Expires mid-2011. Won it in a race, and being 1500 miles away, it won't do me much good.

First person that claims it gets it. Will be seeing if I have anything else worthwhile later, too.

You have two options to Pay it Forward:

1. Claim something and then immediately post your own item.

2. Post your own item and get a "voucher" good for something later.

It's all on the honor system though.

Saddle is GONE.

I'll second your saddle post. I have a Stock San Marco Ponza saddle from a 2008 P3. I used it for under two hundred miles, then swapped it out. Anybody want it?

Also have Shimano RC55 brake pads, used for ~1000 miles. Plenty of life left. Changed because my new wheels required different pads.

Here is some great stuff (crap?) - get it while it is HOT!

-2 sets of Deda "Carbon look" bar end caps (one set has a silver logo). Black set to nublar. Silver set remains.

-GONE - PD aero drink yellow insert thingy - new PD to trophyhusband

-GONE - Off brand (Forza?) RED gel handlebar tape Tape to MTMTRI

-1 1/8" black spacer - 2.5mm is all that remains!

-GONE - Too many old tires to count. Some may still be good for road use...others for trainer? I know one set is PR2's in RED (sexy!).

-GONE - Shimano 34.9 bracket (for FD). Used but in good shape. Bracket to runless

-BIOPACE Chainrings!!! 42, 48, 52 and the list goes on...

-GONE - Set of FSA Energy compact (50/34 170mm) ISIS cranks. I believe BB included. They worked when I took them off my bike 4 years ago and I would have no issue running them again. They would be great on a beater bike or someone who wanted to try them out before dropping coin on new ones (You pay shipping on this one...).

I could definitely use the woman's saddle if it's still available.

1. Bontrager triple crankset off a 2006 Trek 2100. Lots life left but not pretty.
2. Barely used Shimano ITALIAN threaded bottom bracket. GONE

Yep, that's what I was worried about when this thread started. I honestly view that it's OK for one to say they're going to check to see what they have, providing that they do so. On the other hand, I also believe that most should already 'know' what they have that they could part with. Therefore, I feel it important for us to hold one another accountable.

Agreed 100%! If you claim something, you really need to post something else. It doesn't have to be tri-related. DVDs, gift cards you won't use, MP3 players, anything. It just helps to clear stuff from our garage and get something of value out of it.

Actually, reading through this again, it looks like everyone is doing a pretty good job. Nearly everyone who has claimed something has posted another item in the same post.

i have an extra shimano/sram park cassette tool fr5 - claimed
a pair of Ti skewers that are unbranded - claimed

Both are lightly used in good condition.

I also have a pair of women's small bib tights w/o chamois. They are Nike ACG brand and are made of an insulated/fleece lined material. These are nice tights I won in a raffle at a snowshoe race, but unfortunately I'm not a small woman. I did squeeze into them once, but that's the only use they've ever got.

Okay, paying it back, plus some.

I have a set of Deore derailleurs, 9 sp, for your mountain bike. Front is top pull top mount clamp on. Back is long cage. Both have maybe 500 miles on them before I upgraded (then sold) my mountain bike.

Also have a set of bar ends for a mountain bike. Aluminum, black, nothing extravagant.

And finally a pair of medium performance bike shorts. Well used, but still have a lot of life in them. They fit a bit smaller than the mediums I usually wear. I have a 33" waist.

And if you've got it, I'd like a 10sp road chain for use with a 53/39 x 11-25 drivetrain. :) Never hurts to ask, right?

Bought it for printer, it wasn't the toner cart that was the issue.

I have the following

2, 2gb mp3 player's that still work, blue
A 4gb silver ipod nano 3rd gen for running, its extra (sorry this is gone!)
An xl blue craft cycling jersey that fits like a large
About 30 swim caps, all various colors(it's worth a shot to try and get rid of these :)
A nike plus running band ipod sensor and shoe sensor, bought this before garmin. I think it all still works
TYR Nest Pro Nano goggles (used once at nationals and never again)
4 latex tubes, 3 were patched (I suck at installing these)
Size xl flippers, I have a size 13 foot and these fit
Also have a 3T 100mm aluminum stem. 25.6 clamp

I'm a college student so the following is entirely up to you if you guys have it I'd really appreciate it.
A pair of size 47 tri shoes, I think these are size 13
A pair or two of medium cycling shorts
A garmin cadence sensor
A pair of size medium tri shorts, wrecked my last pair in a crash and am dreading buying new ones
An ISIS bottom bracket (got back from the shop today and heard I had a worn out one)
Long Chance but a Wetsuit that could fit someone 6'5"
A larger camelback for long rides

I am looking for a used helmet, large head for the maintenance guy in my building. He rides to and from work every day in the dark and needless to say it is just dangerous. Also in Canada: Vision Tech 12.5mm & 25mm risers. One of the (4) original 25mm riser screws is missing but I had replaced it with a hardware store equivalent when I was using them.

From Canada: Used Vision Tech Armrest Cups. Slight cosmetic damage on the right cup to the forward middle hole from a bolt that was stuck. I use Micro SL Cups/Pads so I don't need these.

not to be a douche or anything but i thought the original purpose of the thread was if you recieve something you were supposed to put something up? now it seems like people are just taking and taking immediately which i believe was the reason this thread died last year.
