Me too…was hoping to get a beta invite.
I received the following last week so shouldn’t be long now
“We’re going to quadruple the number of invites this week. Don’t worry, even if you don’t get invited we hope to make Zwift for iOS publically available in the App Store in the next 4-6 weeks.”
Wondering if Bluetooth works for a zwift/ios/kickr application. I ran zwift on my macbook and could not get it to work properly until I plugged in an ant+ stick. Hoping the iPad version allows Bluetooth so I can alleviate the ant+ need. Anyone in Beta know?
yes I believe that the ipad/iphone version is Bluetooth only.

I run Zwift on Macbook with Tacx Neo over BT with no issues. You may want to check if you are running another BT device, that is pairing to your trainer first. Unlike ANT+ BT pairs only with one device at a time.

Same here, have totally ditched the ant+ dongle and have everything paired via BT on Mac laptop.
Does Zwift over BT on Macbook control resistance on the Neo (or other smart trainer)? I thought that was only available through ANT+FE-C
After little digging, it appears that Bluetooth Smart supports the control of resistance, among other things. But it’s part of the Bluetooth 4.0 profile, so the hardware/software on any PC would have to support that first. I think only the more recent Mac and very recent Windows machines do.

Yes it does. It does have to be the newer BT though.
This is from Zwift support (slightly outdated as there are some newer Windows machines capable of using native BT now I believe):

I read that Zwift iOS has been released in the app store today. Anyone trying it on an iPad Air 2 yet? You can pick one up from Target for $299 starting Sunday. Trying to decide if it’s worth it to not have to lug my laptop into the garage every time. (just ordered my CABLE, since my speed/cadence and Pioneer PM would need it to convert Ant+ to BLE for use on an iPad. http://store.npe-inc.com/cable-connect-ant-to-ble-use-code-handlingdisc/ )
On the iPad topic, Best Buy has the mini 2 currently for $219.
I did a 50km ride this morning using an air and it worked very well. I would say it’s “crisper” than on my pc using windows. Very impressed with it.

Its does NOT on certain cycleops trainers (magnus) i still have to use the ant dongle to get erg mode
