Zoot Zenith 2.0 sizing question

I just purchased the Zoot Zenith 2.0 2010 model year (first ever wetsuit) and its tough to put on, especially the zipper in the back. I followed the size table and bought the medium. I am 5’ 9" and weigh depending on time of year between 163 and 168 lbs. This puts me right at the size M. I was contemplating getting the ML for more comfort. How can I tell if it fits me right? When its on it very tight (I think its supposed to be) if I try to bend at the waist I feel a little resistance but that is not a swim position. Anyway, if you own this suit, did you follow the sizing chart, go up in size, any help in determining a good fit is appreciated.

I own this suit. It is a completely awesome suit. It is a total weapon in the water. It has recently been discontinued (Zoot is coming out with a replacement in February) so I hope you were able to get a decent discount. I first got a large. I realized it was too big. I traded it in for a medium. I am 5’ 10 1/2" and I weighed about 160 lbs. when I purchased it. I am not too muscular. The fit around the shoulders is the most important. Any triathlon wetsuit should take several minutes to put on and be somewhat uncomfortable. If you can get it on very quick, it is too big. But it should not be totally tight around the shoulders so you can not swim in it.

I literally just got mine yesterday and tried it on. It fits perfectly for me. Im 5’10.5" also and weigh anywhere from 153-160. (160 now). Fits perfectly on me. As long as you have full range of motion in the shoulders, you should be fine. That is what matters most.

Some sites say to add 10lbs to your weight, but I think that’s a bit much… maybe like 5 if any.

…and that’s your first wetsuit? Lucky!

Hope this helps…
peace

I also saw the add 10lbs somewhere but the M was up to 182lbs I think, so even with +10lbs its at about 175lbs. I hope i got a good deal, $375 at trisports with a $15 coupon code. Are the changes big for the new model coming out in Feb?

I would be surprised if Medium was not the best size for you. And I think you’ll be able to judge best in the water-- if there’s water sloshing around your chest the wetsuit might be too large. FWIW, I’m 6’1" and 155lbs and love my Small/Tall Zenith.

Then you should be fine fit wise…

That is the best deal I’ve seen for a new 2.0.

I got mine for $210 used… But surprisingly, it came and looks like it has been used maybe once or twice. (I always by used now…)

I can’t believe I missed out on the deal on the zoot website…it’s going for $163 but XS is the only size left (i’m a S according to the chart).

5’10 - 158 and wear a medium. Fits great.

Still a GREAT price for a GREAT wetsuit. Go for it without hesitation.

Wetsuit fit: if you can get it on by yourself, it’s not too small.
