Anyone raced in the shorts or tops this season? If so, what did you like or dislike? Alternatives? Thanks.
Love them! The shorts especially. They have enough compression to feel great and stay in place, even when wet. The chamois is, by far, the most comfortable I have ever used (cycling or triathlon). They are durable, look great, and feel great.
The top has a unique material that is almost reflective. I think it helps keep cooler than other tops I have tried, but I might just be imagining it. It is very comfortable. Only negative is the first few minutes on the bike sometimes the top flaps just a touch by my chest, but I have absolutely zero chest muscle (literally) so I think that is unique to me. Once it dries it fits smoothly on me.
One of my favorite features are the small pockets on the side. They are well designed and do not add drag but are just the right size for a gel or something that size. I usually cary a gel, my g-friend (also loves ultra) carries her asthma inhaler. MUCH more convenient (and aero IMO) than rear pockets.
The bottom line: Zoot Ultra is extremely comfortable, durable, well designed, and performance oriented.
