I’m looking to get a Zoot Ultra Sprintsuit this week and am not sure about sizing. According to their size chart, I’m sort of in between sizes. I’m currently a 32-33 waist but should be an easy 32 by race time. That would put me in a medium. However for chest I’m about a 41-42 which would put me in a large. I don’t want a suit to be ultra tight but sure don’t want it to be loose either. Anyone have experience on how the Zoot stuff runs?
In my experience with Zoot, I was their rep for several years, it was pretty true to the sizing chart. However, if you I had to say runs small or runs big, I would say runs small.
Basically from what I have read of your situation, there is no way anyone is going to be able to make this call. You NEED to try both. You are just too close. Find a local shop, or call an internet retailer and explain your situation. Maybe you can buy both and then return one?
I have to agree with my buddy Scott. For what it’s worth, I have a Sprintsuit, size medium, and I am 5’11" and 168lbs with a 42inch chest. The suit is supposed to fit somewhat snug, as it is primarily and ITU suit (Zoot’s only). However, I should add that there can be many body dimensions within the same weight range, so you really should try both, as you may not even like how tight the medium may fit. Please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions about the suit.
Thanks guys. Unfortunately the one dealer that’s close only carries their shoes, and a very limited selection of shorts and tops. I’ll be ordering this online. I was considering ordering both sizes and returning one; that may be my best option.
thanks,
