What’s the difference between these two shoes? They look nearly identical, I believe they both have the plate in the sole. Theres a significant price difference in the 2, so I’m wondering if anyone has tried both and what their opinions are?
different plate and different foam.
price ! plus I can’t ever find the 4% version. Supposedly the 4% foam is very bouncy and much lighter. If I see a pair at the NYC expo I’ll be tempted to buy them.
If you have the Nike app, it will let you know when they are in stock. I just got an alert yesterday. They sell fast.
How about the Pegasus vs the Turbo? anyone that trains in the Pegasus use the turbo?
By the way, I just got a text message saying that Vaporfly 4% is available now.

They had a restock earlier today. Mostly sold out now.
FWIW I’ve heard they tend to restock just before the major marathons.
One of the most aggravating differences is that the 4%'s run a little big and you can never try them on before you buy.
For anyone in the Vancouver BC area, there’s a Nike store in the Richmond centre mall (15km south of CBD) and they have in stock the Zoom Vaporfly 4%. I went in there yesterday with all intentions to buy a pair but after trying them on i felt very underwhelmed. Wasn’t a fan of the flyknit uppers (not very supportive) and the soles were very soft. That’s compared to the bog standard Zoom Flys i normally run in. Perhaps an uber runner that clickers clicks over at 3min/km would benefit from them but at my 5-5:30 min/km…I’m not sure i would spend the $350 price tag
Totally different shoes. They look kinda similar and that’s it. 4% is way softer than ZF. It also feels much lighter. The 4% is the race horse … truly for racing only. The ZF is sturdy and can be used for anything including trails. I really like the ZF. But I only love the 4%.

4%.
If you’ll permit me, I’d love to piggyback the thread so I don’t have to start my own and it’s kinda related - at least wrt Nike.
I need a new pair of shoes and I tend to really like the New Balance 1400 or 1500. I haven’t worn a pair of Nikes in 15 years and they’ve apparently upped there game. Is there a pair of Nike’s I should be looking at?
I’m a huge fan of the Pegasus Turbo. My new favourite training shoe having run in Hoka for years and recent trial of Kinvara. I hate the cost but I will be getting another pair when they wear out…
NB 1500t2 are wonderful shoes. Don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, but none of the current nikes have anything that would make me want to try anything else.

That’s fair and the shoes have been great. Just thought I’d try to be open to new things.

Going from Fly to 4%, do you need to get a different size?
. I’m a 12us in the Zoom’s but a 12 in the 4% felt big. I put it down to the flyknit being more forgiving and allowing my foot to move around

I don’t run in the regular Pegasus, but I have a pair of the Turbo. My feeling is that everyone who loves the Pegasus Turbo probably never ran in the Lunaracer, which IMO was a better shoe in every conceivable way. The Turbo just feels sloppy, ill-fitting, and gimmicky (that heel?) in comparison.
