Zipp Vuka Aerobars Old Gen - Shims & Brake lever ?s

I recently bought a set of old generation (2010?) Zipp Vuka aerobars without the brake levers. Few questions:

? - I’m having trouble finding new brake levers. Any suggestions other than Zipp? The elves there are having trouble finding them.

? - Clamp diameter size on the Vuka is 26. I’d like to stay with my current stem clamp size 31.8. Any troubles using shims?

Thanks,

Matt

Shims there are no issues, I think they were even sold with them. Just use a torque wrench when tightening the stem plate bolts.

You bought those ones that were on eBay w/o levers?

Shims as nebmot said are a non-issue. Byproduct of the old school Zipp, thinking that smaller is more aero, even though nearly every stem in the world now is 31.8. I used the shims for years & never had an issue. Carbon paste & torque wrench = your friends.

As for levers, nope. They show up on eBay every now & then, or see what the Zipp guys can dig up. Worst case, find a friend who has the bars, take his levers off to make a copy, and mold your own.
