Thinking of getting a set of these for IMWI this year. Any big reasons not to or something else people would recommend? I looked at Version 9 of the Crr charts but that was 3 years ago. Looking for fast but durable.
I love these tires. I have them on my 808 which I train on year round because it has a PT hub. I put on a new tangente last year at the start of race season. I trained and raced on that tire all summer, through the fall, all winter on the trainer (wore it into a square) and have continued to train on it all spring. Second year in a row I’ve done this. I’m pulling it off and gluing on a new one this week for my 70.3 next weekend.
durable…check
fast…check
Had them, hated them, sold them. Refardless of who makes them, I found they didnt ride anywhere near as nice as vittoria corsas or veloflex carbons. Go with the carbons, you wont regret it.

I tested a newly purchased size 21 about a year ago. It did not roll very well (my~ 0.00350 which is much worse than the previous tire purchased in 2008 which tested at ~ 0.00270). Might be a “one off” problem but …
Thanks for the info. What would you recommend with all of the testing you do.

The Crono 22 rolls very well and supposedly/hopefully is more reliable than the original Crono 20. There apparently is a new Crono 24 which most likely will roll even better. The CX and SL are also good as well as the Bonty RXL Pro. Also check out Tom’s and Ron’s data which is much more up to date.
