Zipp Aerobar Question

Are there any other manufacturer arm rest cups that are compatible with Zipp’s aerobar? Does anyone seem to think that the arm rest cups that come on Zipp’s aerobar are narrow?

I put CeeGee pads on my Vuka arm plates. I think they are more comfortable than stock ZIPP pads.

I was definitely thinking about putting the CeeGee pads on. I was just wondering about the actual metal cups being a little barrow for my forearms. Thanks for your reply.

I found the pads to be a little narrow… what I ended up doing is just moving them so the sit directly UNDER my forearms (a bit narrower than a normal position), so my weight is directly perpendicular. Not saying it’s the best solution… just what I did. Something with a bit more “cup” to it would be nice… maybe try Oval?

i think oval concepts’ armrests work. If you use the widest hole configuration you get at least another 3-4cm of extra width if you need it.

If Oval cups work then so will HED carbon cups and these will be a very nice comfortable rest.

I’m using the Vuka Bull /Vuka Clip combo with Oval extensions and pad holders/pads - it works for me.

My LBS put the profile F19 pads on there for me. It takes a little modifying but they work. I wish I could move the bars out a little wider. The width extensions needed to be one more hole wider and they would be perfect for me. I have the bars placed to the yellow line on the base bar but they are still a tad bit narrow. When I’m aero my shoulders turn in a bit. I’m not sure I could hold the position for IM distance.

You can get the wing spacers, which give you additional mounting holes out wider. These come with the vuka clip, but they’ll give you extra width on the vuka aero,

did you have a hard time getting those Oval extensions into the Zipp clip? Zipp’s extensions are listed as 22.0 mm and Oval 22.2 mm.

Not at all; they slid right in without a problem.

oval extensions are very small. they will fit easily, as will Hed.

It’s the profile design and blackwell extensions that are too thick.
