Zipp 999, Xlab disc, or?

I ride a Cervelo P3 and am going to take the plunge and buy the best disc race wheelset possible. Would you suggest Zipp 999 wheelset, Xlab disc (with 3 spoke front), or?

I do mostly midwest triathlons and 1 Ironman per year…

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated as I have “analysis paralysis” - thanks!

Take some saran wrap and make a disc out of your rear training wheel.

What color/year Cervelo?

The Campy Ghibli is pretty much the most expensive disc you can get your mits on, but it’s only for campy bikes (It’d look pretty sweet on a red/white csc paint job.)

The 999 is a nice wheelset, and the seemingly obvious choice for a cervelo, but sometimes you just want to be different.

Thanks for your feedback. I have the original (silver aluminum) P3, though I hope to get the new carbon black/red in a few months.

Yes, the Zipp 999 seems like the obvious choice. However, Nytro bike shop seems convinced about Xlab and the threads here seem convinced on Renn…so confusing. Maybe I should just go with the Zipp 999.

Can’t go wrong with a zipp… however, there are a number of $$ factors others take into consideration. If you have the money, buy Zipp, if you don’t by another brand and be just as fast, but not as light.

Silver P3? Try the new Renn Madria with an Xlab tri/four-spoke wheel up-front.
