I’m trying to determine what is the better buy? I have rented the Zipp 808’s FC carbon clincher in the past and they are great performing wheels. I can get a used pair of 2015 Zipp 808’s FC clinchers for $1400 that are in practically new condition. I’ve never used Profile Design before, but I’ve read one of the best value wheels on the market. A wind tunnel test has the Performance Design faster than the Zipp’s at lower yaw angles and the Zipp’s being a better wheel at higher yaw. I can get a new pair of the Profile Design for $925. I race HIM and Olympic distance at the moment.
I know little about the PD 78/Twenty Four. Insight and any experienced information about this wheel is much appreciated.
Thanks.
I just bit on a set of Profile Twentyfour 58/78s, they’re fairly well regarded (couple reviews here and here), and if you’re handy with discount codes can be had for under $900 shipped for a set.

Prob depends on your total picture. As someone discussed on here last week, you should be able to trackdown a set of FC wheels for around 1200-$1300. If you road them for a year you would likely be able to sell them for an equivalent amount. Good luck reselling the PD wheels.
