Can someone tell me if this clincher rim (with 77/177 hubs) is tubeless compatible or ready?
Thanks,
Maurice

The tubeless rim brake Zipps are a very recent addition to the lineup. I’m pretty sure they weren’t available prior to 2021 with all their previous tubeless wheels being disc brake models.
The tubeless rim brake rims have showstopper brake tracks which makes them easy to identify. If I’m correct on the rim brake availability these FC models all have the ZR1 hubs too.
Maybe Ben or one of the other Zipp engineers on ST will see this or chime in. Or just drop them an email.
Brendan (SummitAK) knows his Zipp products and history! This is a pre-tubeless rim brake 404 that is clincher only.
Without knowing the model/year, you can always look at the tirebed. If it is a pure U shape that spans the entire width of the tirebed, it is clincher only/not tubeless compatible. If it has a shelf on either side of a smaller u-channel in the middle, it is tubeless compatible. If you can’t visualize that, I can dig up or create a quick schematic.

Thanks guys,
my suspicion was 95% no, now it’s a 100%.
Zipp used to have this awesome historical timeline…now it appears on wheels that it hasn’t been updated since 2015.
Anyways these are 2016 firecrest so firm no as I believe the firecrest line didn’t become tubeless until this year.
