Recently bought a pair of Zipps 303s. Any suggestions on 28mm tire choice that is not impossible to mount/change and offer reasonable puncture protection.
I currently have 5000’s on DT swiss rims and they are almost impossible to change so I am trying to avoid that
I just ordered a Factor Ostro Gravel and will be going with two pairs of Zipp 303s’s and will be putting onSchwalbe Pro One’s at 28mm for road (set up tubeless) and Specialized Pathfinder Pro at 42mm for gravel.
I had the Schwalbe Pro Ones on my last road bike and those tires lasted me a good 2+ years without any flats that sealant wouldn’t fix. They are a really solid all around option.
Have you tried putting the GP5000 tires on the Zipp wheels?
How many miles was that? 2+ years is about 5 times as long as my tires last (using GP5000s tubeless).
Hard to say. I only used them for weekend rides between 80-120mi. So maybe 3-4k?
These are hookless rims so a reminder on tire choice. Great wheels!
