I just picked up a Blue Triad SL LE with Zipp 303s and originally I was going to us my road bike Roval 25s on them as training wheels, but I came to realize the width of the triad’s rear wheel is too skinny/narrow, basically the spokes of the Roval can scratch the seat stays. So do you think I can use the 303’s as my training wheels? Does anyone else do this rather than owning multple sets? I know these things are usually race-only, but do you think they can take a beating for 3-5k miles/year? or should I bite the bullet and invest in a cheap training wheelset?
I’m new to the tri/race scene so anyone know what kind of wheel I should be looking for with the thinner width/narrower spokes?
I ride 303s everyday and they are amazing. I have the CC version though, and I have broken two retention rings, although, I seem to break everything that can be broken.
True they aren’t the best for race, but they are featherlight for climbing.
Thomas, how many miles do you have on yours? Any tell tale signs of carbon fatigue? Pretty bombproof or do you feel you have to baby them over potholes and cracks?

I don’t baby anything and we have a lot of cracks in Tucson and a lot of potholes. Braking surface is doing just fine. Miles, not sure, they are on my TT bike, which truthfully I don’t ride all that often, so maybe 75 miles a week on average. I got them last year around this time.
I ride 303 fc’s. tubular. All year round, as my training wheel on my road bike. I run conti sprinter tires which are a little thicker and less prone to flats. I hop cattle guards, curbs etc with no issues at all, so far anyhow.
