So I picked up a pair of the new YurBuds Bluetooth headphones to use in the pain cave, I have them paired to a BlueTooth transmitter that is hooked up to the TV. The issue I have is that after about 45 minutes or so they start to drop the sound all together or it goes in and out. I also paired them to my IPhone, streamed music in order to rule out the Bluetooth transmitter and had the same issue. I did contact their support online but haven’t heard back yet but wanted to see if anyone else has had issues. I have used their regular headphones for 3 years or so with no issues so I am not sure if this and issue with sweat getting on them or what but kind of annoying.
Clark,
First of all, love the name. I’m very sorry you’re having an issue with the Inspire Limited Edition, but it sounds like you may have gotten a rare factory defective pair. Please email me directly at dan@yurbuds.com and I’ll make sure you get taken care of!

I have a pair of the YurBuds Focus Wireless bluetooth headphones. I didn’t read very good reviews on them as far as fit, but thought that I would try them. The fit is awesome and very comfortable. I have worn them for 3 hours runs without even knowing I’m wearing them. I haven’t noticed this particular problem with mine. My only complaint with them has been when I turn my head, the short out for a brief second. There is a wire that connect the two pieces that I run either behind my head or under my chin and I guess when I turn my head it messes with that wire enough to short them. As long as I’m looking straight ahead though, they are awesome. Have you had this problem with your pair?
I’ve had great experiences with the red Ironman Yurbuds. I bought a second pair because they rock. Bought a pair of the orange Venture ones (the magnets are a great idea, btw) with the single button for starting/pausing music. Unfortunately after a week of use, they started acting really weird on me. When I plugged them into my iPhone they constantly paused/unpaused the music, skipped it ahead, and started Siri. Unusable now, unfortunately.
I’m considering a set of the bluetooth ones based on my great experiences with the red ones. They are the only headphones I’ve used that actually stay in ear during exercise.
Unfortunately you are not alone. I am having the same issue with mine. Started on a run o Sunday, and then again on a trainer ride today. I thought it was a low charge issue, but they are fully charged. I actually just sent in an email to them myself. Maybe when Dan is finished helping you out he can help me. They really are some great ear buds.
Rocketman,
No need to wait. Please email me as well and I’ll connect you to the customer service team directly. dan@yurbuds.com

i got a pair. I will say the sound is lacking compared to some of their other models, but I havent came across a bluetooth pair from anyone that impresses me yet. However, they stay in great and their customer service has always been top notch.
Sorry to bring back an old thread here, but I can’t seem to find any info on these buds anywere else online. Im having the same issues, wont power up - loss of signal in one side…etc. Very low use so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong if anything…anyone get any resolution either on their own or from yurbuds? any advise/help is appreciated.
thanks
Haha, I have had two pairs of those and both died for no reason. The first took about a month to die, I think it was sweat that did it. The second took only a couple days to die. The first doesn’t work, turn on, charge, etc. The second will charge and turn on, but none of the buttons work and I can’t pair it with anything, so I can only use it with the one device that I paired it with. Occasionally I think the volume up button will randomly work and suddenly the volume goes from normal to full blast.
My Yurbud Explorer models, the ones that are orange, died after about 10 minutes of hiking and are unrecoverable.
My Yurbud Signature model generally works, but will start acting funny with the button if I’m excercising at all.
My two pairs of Yurbud Ironmans (red ear things) work great after years. The caveat being that they don’t have any sort of buttons or fancy features. Essentially basic headphones with the red silicon ear things.
I think the lesson is that while Yurbuds silicon ear molds are pretty great and well-designed, their hardware is not designed well at all and I wouldn’t buy another pair unless they had zero features like my two pairs that have lasted forever. I’m still on the lookout for a good pair of bluetooth headphones if anyone has any recommendations.
I’ve been using the Plantronics Backbeat Go 2. I purchased 2 pairs and both have worked well with one exception; they both were returned once under warranty within the first 12 months. One was after 6 months (mine) the others after 11 months (my gfs). Not sure what the issue is but perhaps quality control is lacking on these. That being said for nearly half the price of the JayBird brand you can afford to replace them every 12 months and still save the money you would have spent on the JayBirds. Also Plantronics was easy to deal with and sent out replacements swiftly.
My second set just died last week, didn’t even make it a year. I love my standard wired Yurbuds but they have fallen very short on the Bluetooth ones.
